Same here no more betfair for me

I don't like the new site as much as anybody but don't be daft - don't cut off your nose to spite your face. This was inevitable and by having the one site improvements can be made quicker and speed will improve I'm sure.

Have you tried in-running? Site does a forward roll an a back-flip when you get matched. Can't play i/r manually now. Ok if you're using a bot.
By:
It jumps up and down when you try to put a bet on i/r or not. How they can say it is an improvement is beyond me.
By:
How can you use the site for in-running? Madness. Use an API. Having said that it's ridiculous how unusable the site is when you do place a bet and the forward roll and back-flip are no exaggeration.
By:
I very rarely bet i/r even on the old site. Haven't got fast pictures or a bot.
The new site is unstable if you put any sort of bet on. You click on where you assume "confirm"is and it has moved ![]() |
By:
And logs you out at most cruel times in my experience
By:
I have similar probs jumpin text delayed / missing accepted bets not being able to minimise L side race index silly garish colour scheme dazzles in public access areas.... that's b4 it crashes the browser - old site workaround details on other thread still works old though.
By:
Sports book works ok so you know the list of priorities.
By:
Bilbo there are different ways to skin the i/r cat. Manual betting is not madness with a site that allows you to do it.
By:
Fair enough john -each to their own. All I'm suggesting is that it would be madness on this new site - even I used to do it on the old site. So for safety's sake I would always now use an API. It just goes to show you they have never tested this new site properly otherwise they would know the raft of problems which exist.

If you bet in-running Mully , you must get gruss- fabulous value 6 quid a month
By:
Info tex and sayed he has deposited elsewhere also.

ease is spot on

Bilbo I don't think ir is do-able on the new site either. Ir should be possible on their own platform, that's the main point. Clearly it's a case of people like me adapting because betfair have fcked up which isn't ideal.
By:
Dissapointing doesnt start to cover this 'forced' migration to the new site, before they improve it to include some of the basic features of the old site e.g ability to collapse the left hand menu. I have enjoyed using betfair greatly over many years to the exclusion of other sites, but will now have to seriously consider alterntaives.

sad to say.... but inrunning on the horses looks like it will die out pretty soon

Configuring Exchange+
We know that a lot of customers like to configure their market view and get things just right. Here's a lowdown of the settings we now offer on Exchange+. You can access all of these through the Settings link in the top right. More options become available when you are logged in. • You can change the refresh rate through the Betting tab which allows you to enable price updates every second. We'd also recommend turning off "Highlight when odds change" if you do this, to avoid the market view flashing rapidly. • You can turn off the Games modules, on the "Other" tab. This gives you more room in the betslip and removes some of the gaming elements from the Exchange pages. If you bet on racing, you can turn off the race card info. • This will hide the silks and other information - this gives more room for your P&L to be displayed, so the market grid doesn't have to move around. • If you want to quickly navigate around the site, turn off "Display Sport Zones". Now if you want to navigate from a race to tonight's football, the page won't refresh at every step along the way and you can save valuable seconds. |

So in order to stop the site jumping around you have to lose the colours ?
What sort of an advance is that i-y-o ? |

exactly....we are having an inferior product foisted upon us

People and Betfair keep on saying new site will improve. Why have they closed the old site completely whilst the new site is still a work in progress?
By:
a true shambles - always the way, get rid of something that worked well and off er to replace it with captain underpants...well done BF
By:
That's what they said about the new fangled "Auto-mobile"
![]() |
By:
yeah,
but Betfair didn't build the new fangled automobile ... otherwise cars wouldn't go more than 5 mph ... or would break down every week or so, or when the roads got a bit busy. |

I moved to purple when we kept crashing a few months back.
Its not as good for liquidity and IR is more or less a no go. Also really miss the bsp if im leaving bets up. But i tried the new site here and it kept part matching bets and cancelling the rest and wasn't showing on PL so I never new whether I was on or not. Had to log out and back again to determine if I was matched. Here 10 years but don't think I'll bother coming back apart from the occasional bet to keep me on the forum. Its a point of principal now. |
By:
for whatever reason ....they just arent listening to their customers
By:
how many times has the site changed since the original Betfair website ?
By:
thanks bilbo,'betfair old community' always gets the old forum in google

New site will improve/speed up etc
Well how many years have they been developing it and they have not been able to manage it thus far, so how can we really believe they can get it right? They would need to categorically state that running both sites prevents the new site from being 'faster'. |
By:
"The old site was built several years ago, and replaced the original Betfair website. It talks directly to our old backend platform, which limits the volume of traffic (price requests, bet placement) that we can handle. We can't scale the old backend platform any further to add extra capacity to cope with increases in demand."
By:
What increase in demand ?
By:
How do you get the site to refresh quicker?
By:
Mully
Go to settings top right and click on betting and move it to 1 second |
By:
Works ok with Mozilla.(with XP) think you have to download correct version for the system youve got.
Mully. Settings.Betting.Change Refresh down to 1 sec,works automatically Salmon.Colours are shown |

The statement from the TCO doesn't make sense on any level.
The gist of his comments relate to the backend servers not being able to cope with the changes since it was created. If this is the real situation then by all means change the backend servers, but design a front end that visually matches the old front end. Same font, same colour, same position for buttons etc etc. This way, if done properly, the users would never have noticed a difference, other than the improvement to their experience. |

I cant even work out how to send the feedback I wanted to know whats happened to my markets.
