Just found this on You Tube

I was there that day and they abandoned the rest of the meeting after this race, run in a snowstorm much more severe than the pics indicate. It happened another time to me too, at Leicester, when again the meeting was abandoned after the opener run in a snowstorm - a juvenile hurdle won by Mr Snugfit.

Am i right in thinking he won his 1st novice hurdle race at 14/1? Won his 1st 4 novice chases as well inc beating Young Snugfit a distance! Also seem to recall he finished 2nd in the Swinton hurdle behind Past Glories.

Had a feeling I'd seen him win at Haydock, so dug out an old racecard from his second hurdle win at 4/6 on 13th December 89 from Miriyoun (Brooks/Scudamore).

They won the Tommy Whittle later on the card with Baies from The Thinker, with Playschool and Cool Ground also in the field. Sabin Du Loir also won on the day.

Not a bad card for a Wednesday.....the good old days. Sad
