Haydock prizemoney on offer was pathetic, no doubt to pay for the Band after racing.

Indeed. Credit where it's due. The RP usually shy right away from such politically-incorrect thoughts. The unfettered power of the tracks will milk the sport to death without an occasional reality-check like the Colin Russell piece. The wonder is that it got published.

They will do it regardless, sadly.
