"BAILIFFS, UNPAID PLAYERS AND STAFF STRIKES AS KOUKASH CLUB IN TURMOIL
Salford Red Devils, taken over by Marwan Koukash in 2013, is in financial turmoil, the Salford Star understands, with visits by bailiffs, top players having difficulties getting paid and an `active proposal to strike off' the company at Companies House.
There are also reports of player Tony Puletua suing the club for around £50,000 he claims he is owed, and a strike at the club earlier this year by unpaid physios. Koukash has an outstanding £1.5million loan to pay back to Salford Council."

RACEHORSE owner Marwan Koukash on Friday dismissed a winding-up petition lodged against his rugby league club Salford Red Devils as the result of an administrative oversight.
Print company Konica Minolta lodged the petition against the club on June 23, with a hearing scheduled for August 10, but Koukash said he was made aware of the situation only on Friday.
“I only found out about it this afternoon. It’s a small bill, only £4,000-£5,000, less than one per cent of my annual investment in the club,” Koukash said. “It’ll be sorted out on Monday morning.”
Last month Koukash used a press conference to deny allegations of unpaid bills to suppliers and staff. Two former players, Kevin Locke and Tony Puletua, claim they are owed money by the club.

"I have three runners at Chester in the six-furlong handicap and owner Marwan (Koukash) wants Mehdi, Lexi's Hero and Gramercy all to run as he desperately wants to have another winner at the track as we all know. I would have to say that Lexi's Hero probably has the best form but you could not rule the other two out - I just hope Marwan wins the race as it will be embarassing if he doesn't!"
