I'm off today to ascot any tips/pointers would be appreciated as I'm a jumps racing guy and haven't a clue on the flats lol

Stay away from the chicken curry in the street food tent...It gave me horrendous food poisoning a month or so ago.

they have an unusual alcohol policy. Can take a picnic with a bottle of sparkling wine in ( beer/ still wine not allowed).

Get a decent view from 4th floor.

very tasty bacon butty from the bakers shop on the high street is a good way to start the day ,if 8 go to post for the first hannons second string looks fair e/w.

I've been loads to ascot in the higher tier great views and facilities,best in the country Imo.
The weather is brilliant today so might just go grandstand to be out in the sun all day !!

the price on this exchange suggests it might be getting a mark pre exchange days the bigger the price the more you had on,sadly that's not the case anymore.

you are right with that approach I just couldn't help wondering who and why and on what grounds does somebody want to lay 20 plus a horse from a top stable who had ran really well in an historically good newbury maiden.
