Ayr latest: Going update
Overcast with the odd shower possible and a light breeze. That's the current scene from Ayr where the ground is good, good to soft in places with a going stick reading of 7.9.
Clerk of the course Emma Marley said: "We put on 8mm of water on the home straight and the same on the back straight and had a similar amount of unexpected rain on Friday."

The times weren't to bad on the straight track considering the times over longer trips,the sprints there if no rain will suit good ground horses tomorrow the 6f race should be within 1/2 second of standard providing no more rain..

The time of the 3rd race , considering it was a Class 6 race , was very quick for softish ground.

I would hardly call - slow by 5.74s - as being ... "very quick"
The 6F and 5F Sprints were, respectively ... slow by 2.58s slow by 2.77s |
