Tough one for the stewards.
Report dan hardcore July 4, 2015 2:44 PM BST

Report asparagus July 4, 2015 2:44 PM BST
Agree that it should get the race but it won't.
Report Try My Best July 4, 2015 2:44 PM BST
that surely has to go.
Report OliasOfSunhillow July 4, 2015 2:44 PM BST
Winning distance was about o.5 l which may be too much but loser was almost along side when nearly put through fence
Report workrider July 4, 2015 2:44 PM BST
Can't be any other result than this been thrown out ....
Report flatcap July 4, 2015 2:44 PM BST
Best horse won.
Report Wesdag July 4, 2015 2:44 PM BST
half a length - will keep it
Report Poppydog. July 4, 2015 2:45 PM BST
Layed the Stewards for a fair bit at 2.5 to 3s on market opening.

Will be shocked if it's overturned - she did absolutely everything
Report OliasOfSunhillow July 4, 2015 2:46 PM BST
I think thats a classic case of a disq warranted and if it is not then it highlights what is wrong with the rules
Report TheFear July 4, 2015 2:46 PM BST
short enough and cathy didn't seem too confident :p
Report flatcap July 4, 2015 2:46 PM BST
Would have won further had she been able to keep it in a straight line.
Report OliasOfSunhillow July 4, 2015 2:46 PM BST
It does not matter what the jockey did, only in terms of jock bans.
Report pablo-fanque July 4, 2015 2:48 PM BST
why should a horse keep a race if it ruins the chance of another horse winning it , just because of the distance it won ?

wins by a nose/thrown out  , wins by 1 length/keeps it

bonkers

( not necessarily talking about this race )
Report mrcombustible July 4, 2015 2:48 PM BST
Under the rules this will not be disqualified, fill your boots at 1/3
Report TheFear July 4, 2015 2:48 PM BST
fair play to the sa pundit put his money down. 1.3 is a sh1t price shd be 1.5

Hardie is an absolute dunce for not for not taking it to the left very early in the race when the beast was hanging to the right

becuas eof the way the rules are. The stewards have to say with certainty that the runner up would have won without the interference, the closer the margin the easier that decision becomes. The rules are bonkers imo.

Best horse won.

correct..
Report loper July 4, 2015 2:50 PM BST
They should be showing the head on from the start, ffs! Impeded the 2nd for 6f!
Report PompeyMike July 4, 2015 2:51 PM BST
You can't say the second would have won. Being held by winner in last 50 yards. Interference - yes, but the second wasn't gaining at the end.
Report Angel Gabrial July 4, 2015 2:51 PM BST
To be fair the runner up would have won if good enough as they say, it had opportunities to get up
Report posy July 4, 2015 2:55 PM BST
i'm on sweet taboo but obviously covered stake.
Report Try My Best July 4, 2015 2:55 PM BST

No Shocked
Report Wesdag July 4, 2015 3:06 PM BST
If that was an Irish stewards, they would've made sure that was settled correctly before the result was known.

Disappointing from BF.
Report use2begudear July 4, 2015 3:06 PM BST
And they wonder where all the in-running players have gone LaughLaughLaugh
Report roida July 4, 2015 3:07 PM BST
poor effort by bf to allow bets to be place after announcement.
Report jamesdean July 4, 2015 3:16 PM BST
If anyone that had their money swiped after the announcement was made, complained, Betfair would go through the bets and re settle correctly.

They've been made to do it before. You have to phone them up and point it out though.
Report millhouse July 4, 2015 3:22 PM BST
It's very simple.

Disqualify and the bookmakers' double result offers kick in.

This leads to less bookmaker profits, and so less revenue for racing.

This, without any doubt whatsoever, will have been made very clear to the BHA by the bookmakers, who, unambiguously, are now in commercial partnership to remove punters' money.

A jockey is going to get seriously injured sooner or later, as all bets are now off when it comes to the rules if the prize is big enough, but hey, it's all about the ££££££ for the BHA and its bookmaker cohorts...
