"only one of his half-century of winners....."

- "and he rides ... in the"
-------------

Who gives a Donald?

- and what will it matter in a couple of weeks - let alone the fullness of time.

All the gravy-trainers have NOTHING other than an obsession with continually mentioning the overrated midgets, over and above the horses.

Probably because it is easier to trot out a few, widely available, statistics about a limited number of Jockeys - than it is to actually STUDY FORM - and give the horses some credit.

Is there anyone other than Onlooker in racing that doesn't think Deckie deserves to be Champion?

If McCoy was here still Deckie would have no chance

think he could do what ap couldn't and ride 300 winners in a season.
got the agent, the start needed, doesn't seem to get many injuries and we don't get the amount of race meetings off with bad weather that we used to.

they're pathetic mate

200,250,300 who cares what the total is, the man deserves at least 1 jockeys title
will be the highlight of the ssn for me if dickie johnson is finally champion

I can't understand all the flak Johnson gets on here Confused
I'm not saying he's as good as McCoy, Walsh or even Geraghty but he's still a quality pilot in my view.

AND if ever a jockey deserved to be champion then it's him - surely nobody could begrudge him that.

I, honestly, would not have a clue.

Whether your post is  ...

a)  A question
b)  A subtle piece of sarcasm
c)  and, hear I will be generous by saying - An astute observation.

The point of my thread is that in HORSE Racing TV presentation - with it being infested with former JOCKEYS, such as - Fitz - Wearisome waffling Weaver - Fluke Harvey - painful Perham et al ... It is incessantly all about the JOCKEY.

Then - even the non-former Jockey presenters pick up the easy option baton - and bang on about JOCKEYS, JOCKEYS, and more JOCKEYS ...

Despite the sport being called HORSE Racing.

Always seems a very likeable fella so I would'nt begrudge him a championship. However the game doesn't owe him so if he deserves it so be it. Not up to the level of the top Irish jockeys and his strength in a finish has got his obvious horseman deficiencies out of trouble many times.

if the game doesnt owe him a championship then it will never owe anyone a championship

Why is he owed. He's made huge money from the game.
