RIDER Robert Winston "escaped with bruising" after his fall at Doncaster on Friday night and is set to have a few days off before returning to action on Wednesday.
Winston was taken to hospital in a neck brace after he was involved in a pile up in the closing stages of a 6f handicap at Doncaster caused by prominent racer Dark War sustaining a fatal injury and hampering several of the other runners.
However, his agent Lee Newton reported Winston had avoided major injury and said on Saturday morning: "Robert escaped with bruising. He came out of hospital last night and he is going to take a few days off now. He should be back riding by Wednesday."
