Some very decent posters banned over the years,The likes of Flying bolt and as recent as Koi,
Can someone explain how the likes of complete and utter headbangers like Zodiac has never been banned,
Constantly allowed troll to his hearts content,Has never made one meaningful contribution to the Forum,Was only last year he lied about having cancer,A very sad individual.

Koi seemed like a gent to me even though I didn't often get tangled up in conversation with him...as far as I was aware, he was not the abusive sort like me
 There have been plenty of other ex-forumites (like Flyingbolt for example) that I haven't exactly had a rapport with but I've always thought they made posts that contributed (whether right or wrong) to the forum - for the last couple of years there seems to be an incessant conveyor belt of en suite ballsacs whose posts I don't even bother my arse to read, whilst the 'characters' have been gradually disappearing. I've only been tuning in for 5 years and it was a decent laugh in those days, despite constantly seeing posts (at that time) about how great it USED to be. Fortunately, there are still plenty of good guys around to make it worthwhile logging in BUT when people like Koi are snipered off, it makes you think that anyone's fair game for the mods' bullets and this place will eventually become moribund. |

I think the people on here who know koi will be mildly amused at that post.  When koi reads your post I can imagine he will also be amused and similarly outraged that anyone can think he was Breedingmad.  |

They said some time ago that the forum is self-policing and has been for some years. In other words you can say what you want until somebody reports you. Tbf I think that is the model for a lot of online forums. It does mean though that it doesn't have to be the person you have attacked that reports you. If you know somebody has it in for you you have to be extra careful.

Are you sure koi said something offensive Breedingm. From what I heard,which in itself may or may not be correct,everybody who posted on the thread has been "suspende" pending an ivestigation.

A friend of mine was banned some time ago. He hated the bookmaker owned by Joe probably as much as Betfair dislike them. He managed to get a complaint to Joes aired directly via email to their head trader. As a result he then advised all betfair forumites that had a grievance with Joes to email them and he published the email address on here. Now I cannot quite work out how they arrived at this conclusion but the forum moderators told him he was publicising the competition on here and consequently banned him.
The bottom line is that you can be racist, homophobic and any other phobic you like on here but do not in any way say anything that could reduce Betfairs share price by any amount. |

These days I think you can probably say that as long as nobody reports it. They have outsourced the moderation and I don't think anybody now reads more than a small proprtion of threads at most. They only spring into action if somebody presses the report button. As I said before tbf I think this is the model for most online forums ( fora ?).
