All bets settled at BFSP with 5% commission deducted from any winnings:
Running P/L: -32.48

A P/L will also be kept at the early odds that were generally available / BOG:
Running P/L: -17.5

Today's guesses:

Mister Musicmaster, 4.55 Salis, 1pt EW

Been around a while but seemingly as good as ever at the age of 6, and has gone well for today's jockey Megan Nicholls all 3 times she's ridden him, winning once and finishing close up the other twice.

Up in grade today, but clearly thriving at present, so looks worth a shekel EW at a big price.

Currently trading at 48 and generally a 33-1 poke

Yul Finegold, 7.50 Kemp, 1pt EW

Has been shaping as though still in fair form of late - 3 starts back at Haydock when tanking into the race before finding his stamina running out on the ground over 12f, and the last twice when running OK again at Haydock, then when not disgraced lto in a slightly higher grade at Chelmsford.

He's not had many starts on the AW, but does seem a better horse on synthetics, and interesting to see how he goes on his first start at Kempton, though done no favours by the draw given they're quickly into a bend on the 11f course.

Currently trading at 42 and generally a 33-1 poke

Doppler Effect, 1pt EW, 8.30 Naas

Was another of my failed guesses on Sunday when I wrote beforehand:

Looked unfortunate not to get a deal closer to one currently rated in the low 80s, on his penultimate run for Ann Duffield in a Wolverhampton claimer back in January, travelling well but having his chance badly compromised when hampered and losing his position 3f out, before rallying and going on well at the finish.

Ran well in a Dundalk claimer on his debut for his current yard, making up a lot of ground in the straight to be a running on 2nd to Period Piece, who subsequently went close to winning a handicap off a mark of 78.

Although both those runs were on the AW, his qualifying runs on good to firm turf had earned him an initial mark of 74 (now rated 69).

Still lightly race and his new yard may yet get a win out of him.

Negatives:

They blew his mark when they ran him in a claimer at Dundalk, the assessor hitting him with a 10lb hike for finishing 2nd to a higher rated rival.

Inconsistent, those 2 good runs on the figures in claimers have been followed by 2 poor ones.

Jockey yet to ride a winner after 40 rides.

He got the close-up "no extra and eased" on Sunday, but it looked more a case imo of his inexperienced jock easing cuz of a weakener falling back into his path.

Stronger handling today and given another chance, though could be he's need a mile to be seen to best effect.

Currently trading at 19 and generally a 16-1 poke
