It was mentioned the other day that there was being an 'Upgrade' to the Member's section - possibly the Log-In procedure.
Looks like it has gone tits up - as I have NOT had to Log-In as a Subscriber/Member today. |
By:
yes onlooker i can get everything
By:
They have disabled the ability to log in and access your own notes and ratings etc in order to perform an upgrade. Hence anyone who subscribes and keeps their own notes can neither access or update them for the next week. I would think the free access will end once the upgrade has finished.
By:
Have been informed by rp that they are upgrading so I have no form or notes so won't be betting for a week, surely in this day and age they could have done this in less than a week, wonder if they will recompense subscribers for not being able to bet for week not having our own notes and ratings, good as the rp handicapper is I rather use my own including notes.

it's a disgrace job..middle of the f00kin Flat season..they've taken the tools of your trade away for a week AND YOU'RE STILL PAYING FOR THEM...plus i use that site every day and never saw any warning, so that notice that is there now dated June 15 couldnt have been very prominent (cos, you know, if it had been i might have spent Sunday going thru the 5-day cards)
'we strongly advise you put any Royal Ascot eyecatchers into your Horsetracker by June 22'...FFS, what a clueless comment..how many RA horses are going to run this week? |
By:
As a result of this, I won't be using the site to keep my notes in future. Going to use Timeform Race Passes instead. Obviously doesn't help me this week when I will have to work largely from memory. Hopefully at the very least, the RP site will be brought up to a level where it is not appallingly slow, sticky and unresponsive in a manner not befitting a website in 2015.

barton......how much is the basic package??
By:
I spoke to a guy called Will at the helpdesk yesterday and he took a screenshot of my entries on the tracker and emailed them to me. He said you can do it yourself if you have an ipad. Not Ideal but a life saver for me this week

By:
For those who may keep notes , ratings, a complete disaster and poor stuff.
By:
Barton , if you find out how much let me know, I prefer the monthly subscription , no long term contract, I can't find Timeform prices on their site with ease(not good for business me thinks?) I do despair sometimes £15 for a month would win a few over, not sure it is anywhere near that price????? please inform
By:
metro.......i would have it 15 quid
By:
duncan i echo your complaints as i'm in the same boat..e-mailed them any they said:
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the suspension of the sign-in facility. We can confirm that an initial email warning of this period of downtime was sent on June 13th, with a reminder sent on June 22nd. the big yellow message that's there now would have been ideal as i have seen no warning, particularly through RA when there is enough going on,i also could have screen shot all my horses if i had known now i have nothing |
By:
werbie...thanks very much mate just downloaded the ipad app and they are indeed all there..
By:
no, i defo didnt see any warning on the site, tom...poss any emails sent would have gone straight to junk, but i usually have a quick scan of junk before deleting (as i block all those i'm deleting) and didnt spot anything..i'm dubious tbh
cardiff/metro, Timeform Race Passes is £75 for 28 days. |
By:
No contact with me about closing our stuff down total disregard for there subscribers and I can't get anything through on my iPad think we're all mugs and maybe we are but got no other option if we want to keep our own stuff, could go back to pen and paper guess.
By:
Warning or not, it is no use to anyone who keeps extensive notes. You can't just copy and paste them all elsewhere manually.
By:
they don't care, maintenance for nearly a week with nothing offered for the inconvenience, keep having to alter the settings for every race and haven't got a clue who is doing the spotlights
By:
Just tried to checking price of race passes but it doesn't seem to let me do it whilst the current 30 day period is running, cardiff. Think it is about 70-80 per month which is pretty expensive if you don't use the other content I guess.

contacted RP over this free week for non-subs people, was told i had a freebie in january this year so wasnt allowed any more, told the guy why im i still paying for a free week, he didnt have a answer, told him to stuff the subscription, you cant treat loyal customers like that i said, its only £3 odd but im well p......d off about it.
By:
could do with saving money but horses is the only sport i actually make money on
By:
Agree. It is hard to study form properly without the Essential package.
By:
I did not see any warning.
By:
Me neither, but I don't use the notes.
By:
What I would like to know is what benefits this "uprade" will bring?
By:
^ Judging by the way a - 'Bet Slip' - LINK has appeared on EVERY page of horse FORM -
- ie: Lifetime History - Pedigree Details - Individual Race Results You could think that it will be some kind of further encouragement to place BETS - via that LINK - with their "Betting Partners" ... As if people who do full and serious FORM STUDY - would be in a position to even do so. A little lack of forward thought, there, by the Racing Post and their IT team. |
By:
If that is correct and there is no improvement to the performance of the site, I am finished with them.
By:
I couldn't do without some of it BB.
By:
Just tried to watch a race video on the site and told it is unavailable because the site is being upgraded. And we are being charged for this!
By:
Which bits?
The pedigree information is pretty good. The videos are useful but can be found elsewhere. Rest is replaceable imho. |
By:
Mostly the comments at the foot of the race. I also use the sales info a lot.
By:
I also use the sales info tbh.
By:
horse tracker is being shut down, along with a few other aspects, til midnight on Monday. So in the meantime everyone gets more access while members get less than they pay for without reduction in fee.
By:
the guy i spoke to at the rp had the attitude that you had a free month at the start of the year (theyre **** up but wouldnt admit it - goodwill gesture) so thats you lot, like it or lump it and didnt seem to care when i cancelled my subs, quite poor for a outfit like that,i guess the upgrade is taking so long to entice more people to sign up free for a few days then pay up,im very tempted to use other means to pick my selections and save the £14.5 a month
By:
jaj........what do you get for 14.50........cheers
By:
just the essential package, i use RP ratings ,topspeed and the notes about the race, dont use it for anything else,, not intrested in tipping or breeding
By:
if you click on the members tab on the home page, it tells you what you get, cant remember how much the top package is
By:
what about the analysis and the notebook..........i am not interested in the tips but i am in the breeding ........is it only the tips i wouldnt get.......can i pay for just one month at a time
