who'll enjoy the rain, thats the question ? Certainly won't trouble Mustajeeb, 5/1 looks good.

Hope you correct timtin on at 10 and 7s while back bet of meeting for me.

cheers Geoff. How's the game treating you? IIRC you were always one of the smartest on here.

I note that those 3yo were in receipt of 7lbs while BB is at levels. Assuming linear WFA improvement he is 3.5lbs out at the weights.

Note sure how this has affected other 3yo Aussie runners in the sprints at RA.

being a southern hemisphere 3 years old didn't seem to do Choisir any harm Mischief

he is not 3 though he is 4.

Brazen beau is a very very good serious sprinter. 3 yr old australian siuthern hemisphere time will carry 4 yr old weight for age...only thing i can see upset him winning is running down the slower grandstand side. On the upside the caliber of this quality in the past have won.
Report AdvantageAussie June 20, 2015 12:43 PM BST
Both Brazen Beau and Choisir are September foals and still 3 year olds by their southern hemisphere origins when they raced at Royal Ascot.

They are classified as 4 years olds in the northern hemisphere, I guess the reason for that is there is no wfa scale for a 3.5 year old at this time of year over there.

fine win last time but...he was getting lumps of weight last time.

Well here it is, this is the race I have been waiting for as an Aussie since the beginning of Royal Ascot, I said on day one Brazen Beau was the best of the Australian runners this year and my view hasn't changed because of any rain, this horse has some serious ability and I don't think we've seen his best, he gave them a spanking last time in the Newmarket and I know he got a good weight but he didn't beat second raters, Lankan Rupee is the highest rated sprinter in the world and he beat him easily

I am very confident he will run well no matter which side of the ground he comes down, the other Aussie Wandjina isn't without a chance either, has form over longer distances in Group 1 company
Report SecondComing June 20, 2015 3:43 PM BST
He is also the 2nd highest rated sprinter in the world, if he's on his game he wins this, I have no doubt

Like i posted brazen beau's only disadvantage going down the grandstand side...can only blame williams.. its quoted him saying this fact...so what does he do...solo down the grandstand. This alone is a disadvavtage trying to lead all the way whilst the winner did no work at the rear storming home on the faster side of the track. Give brazen beau the outside i feel he would have won by many lengths
Report thegiggilo June 21, 2015 3:04 AM BST
Looking at the wokingham there wasn't any bias today and Astaire was infront of brazen beau throughout so probably not as unlucky as appeared, plus they didn't go that quick which makes the form look even weaker. If he'd led and had gone clear on the nearside it would've been worth upgrading, now I wouldn't be so sure just because the race was run at average pace..

3.5 lbs "out at the weights" so the jockey said in the pre race interview...

megsy..prophetic!

aussie - horses have a "universal" birthday (1 Jan in Europe) - nothing to do with no WFA scaled for 3.5 y o

beaten by the WFA imo
