Horse took a long time to pick up, draw didnt help.

staying on and used the whip maybe once.

One of the worst rides I've ever seen in a G1

I'm not a happy bunny at all

2 GP1s hes fooked up for Lucida.

By:
will blame the draw.

Terrible ride.
By:
may aswell have put bernard on it.
By:
gutted, done by a poor ride again this week
By:
and let's not forget dawn approach in the sussex, suicidal ride there too
By:
thing is some said he went too soon in guineas
By:
Best filly finished 3rd. I thought she was unlucky in the Guineas; that was equally unlucky today in different circumstances.
By:
you's need to stop pocket talking...he was 1L behind the winner for 5f then approaching the bend he got outpaced and was flat out till staying on from over 1 out...
By:
I've always been a fan of Manning but his riding this season in general has been poor unless the horse has won easily. Time stands still for no one and it looks like it has caught up on Kevin. Always been strong in a finish but has looked way under par in that department as well.

Roida the Judge.....ffs, don't make me laugh.

roida has a point.

roida has no point whatsoever.

I backed her and no complaints with the ride at all. She didn't travel at all
By:
She took a while to pick up even though Manning was riding her full tilt.
By:
Rubbish.
By:
Quickest way to the poorhouse backing "unlucky" horses
By:
how old is he? looks about 62
By:
I was about to post saying Kevin Manning mucked up, then I read roidas' post, and you know what, he is spot on. Jockey not to blame just on the day filly not good enough. There will be plenty more days for that one imo.

basilbrush the forum fool strikes again..do you even bet?
By:
Had ample time to get closer. Chose to ride it as if it was Arazi. They will all blame the draw, (pundits) but Manning is now a liability.
By:
Foxy
If the horse would have gained ground easier she would have won. |
By:
it got outpaced over 2 out..from then it was a struggle. end of.
By:
It was going very easily at the back before the home, turn but you don't win Group 1's like that unless you are on a far superior horse. Looked over confident.
By:
I agree with roida, 1 length off the winner at the bend, both asked and one went whoosh and lucida took ages to get into gear
By:
They probably think she is quirky and gets bullied out of things, come late and pounce.
Tis racing. |
By:
Not Manning's fault. The best filly won. Lucida did not have the gears of the winner.
By:
It`s better when you watch it a few time Sonko, please you are someone who can admit his change of opinion.
By:
Horse took a long time to pick up, draw didnt help.
.... agree with sonko, and also roida when he said lucida followed the winner through with plenty of time if good enough, a combination of draw and hold up " tactics " to blame. |
By:
Sorry Sonko, forget my last post. You read the race correct from the off.
Getting you mixed up with Fozwald |
By:
cant blame manning for the draw.
By:
It is certainly a way to lose baking unlucky horses - unlucky means they didn't win, ergo, you have lost money if you backed them. It seems you are not allowed to ever suggest a horse was unlucky on here. The Great Gatsby wasn't unlucky either, I suppose, pocket talking etc etc. Ridiculous to go on about 'pocket talking' - one of the worst cliches and pieces of empty rhetoric you'll ever read on here.
