Having had just the one bet at Royal Ascot thus far....the Ryan Moore ridden Dissolution, I'm feeling my luck may be out there, and so it's to the under cards today.
INGLEBY ANGEL 4.05 Redcar
Westwood Hoe's win at York last time has received several boosts from those in behind that day, but he's much too short at 6/4 here taking a step up in class. Tizlove Regardless should ensure a decent pace to the race, and with a Karaka Jack & Westwood Hoe also liking to get on with it, this could be set up for something from off the pace.
INGLEBY ANGEL hasn't been at his best in 2 runs so far this season, but excuses can be made for both of those runs (slowly away first time, and forced to race wide last time), and the small field and decent pace should be in his favour here. Four of his eight wins to date have come at this track, he takes a drop in class ( just sneaks in off the race ceiling of 90 ) and is back down to his last winning mark.
At the 7/1 freely available he represents by far the best value in this.
BAR DE LIGNE - 4.35 M.Rasen
Brian Ellison is yet to find the key to Bar De Ligne, but this represents his easiest task for a long time, and the booking of Richard Johnson ( 24% strike rate ) suggests today could see a return to form. Simply, he's the best horse in this, he's off a decent mark after his below par performances of late, and 7/2 seems a fair enough price.
