had an account with pp for over 10 years not regular customer but certainly not a winner over that time. Backed the second in the norfolk today as they were offering money back as a free bet if horse finishes 2nd or 3rd. Have now been told they will not honour this as a traders decision has been taken not to offer this to me. They had not forwarned me and so i was completely unaware of this. can this be right and is there any point in taking it further?. in which case who to ?

asking for £50 @ 2-1 Found lunchtime today was enough for one of the Maltese outfits to make it sp only---actually bet online rarely with them because of their hopeless website.doesn't bother me really--its only a hobby and if i was to get serious I have enough brothers to establish any amount of accounts----what miffs me is when it comes to racing policy decisions/direction they expect a seat at the top table when they should be cadging a lift at Tattenham corner

Complain again. If they think you will give them bad publicity, you might get your refund.

I doubt very much it actually had anything to do with your bet today and the decision to exclude you from bonuses was probably made ages ago via e-mail, which probably went straight to your junk folder and was never seen, yet they do nothing on their website that flags up you are excluded at the time you are placing the bet when thinking you will still be getting the offer.

You can complain to the Gambling Commission and Advertising Standards Authority but unfortunately for anything to be done would probably require a vast number of other punters doing the same to raise awareness of bookies doing this, yet that's not really going to happen.

Get back on the phone to them and warn them of your next move. They   are breaching advertising law. The offer they made was quite clear I presume? If so, they are certainly in the wrong. Threaten the bstds with Trading Standards, The Gambling Commission and bloody Jack the Ripper if necessary.Don't be fobbed off!!!

The last line makes the whole offer worthless. It's a disgrace.

"Certain customers". That alone makes the advert discriminatory and misleading. How is an account holder to know if they are a certain type of customer?? Paddy Power need to be reported over this type of fake offer.

I sent an email and got back what i expected. so will now close my account, overall probably their loss.

Thank you for contacting Paddy Power Customer Support.

I am afraid the traders would have the right to exclude any customers from such promotions. Paddy Power reserves the right in its discretion to exclude and/or limit the availability of the offer to certain customers. The traders would not have to notify customers of any such exclusions.

If you would like me to proceed with the closure of your account could you please answer the following security questions on your account

Had the same problem myself. Tried to have a bet in the Hunt Cup.I was told I had not been eligible for any concessions , best odds or enhanced place terms since Jan 2015. Nobody told me. Is there any point complaining? No.

Paddy Power (not alone) have a history of shafting punters with so-called offers & more so "early prices" which they rarely ever offer at 9am (like this morn on Igider 9/1 Laugh) God himself never got that price Laugh  only offering 7s Angry SCUM Sad

result was an absolute stinger for paddys, the only 2 backed horses 2nd and 3rd.  fact he's trying to wriggle out of paying up tells you how much it hurt.  didn't hear of anyone not getting paid the day before when ivawood finished 14th ...
