For the life of me I can't see how this horse can win. Only plus is the going on trainers record.

Why can't it win.

Has Group One placed form.

Finished like a train at Leppers

Was very tenderly ridden first time up behind todays jolly, so cant use that as a guide.

Trainer has an outstanding record in the race.

Has the best jockey riding it.

The best trainer.

The best owners .

So bearing that in mind I thought 10/1 was a very good price last night.

But dont let me put you off laying it?Laugh

O Brien targets this race every year so it's unusual to see his only runner at such a big (ish)price

Backed it at 16s last week hoping the ground would go against the fav and a few others.  A bit of a leap of faith that it will stay but its in the best hands and has the best jock on board. One of those horses that if it wins everyone will be kicking themselves they let an AOP/RM horse go off at such a big price.

Stable like to be represented in all the top races , look at this years Derby runners ......has no chance imo.

Im happy to take the chance at the price I got.  Doubts over the fav on the ground and its not going to get any softer between now and 4.20.

Thought Simenon was a good each way bet with 1-2-3-4.   Only 5 lengths off Leading Light in this last year and 3l behind Vent De Force on seasonal reappearance. One of the few in this that will get the trip and ground.

I have no way of measuring who is the best jockey anywhere so I don't commit to large claims that can't be substantiated and I express my scepticism whenever anyone makes them.Grin

koikeeper above similarly queries how anyone can just baldly state 'the best trainer'.

I think he's got a good chance of staying the distance but I just feel a few others will have more toe than kingfisher at the business end of the race.

Simply on his record the last few years Vubiant I think he is excellent round here.

5 wins so far this festival and 3 places.
