no, watched the last 2, what was said
?

Hughes said if he had the choice he would ride the 2nd fav, rode it in a gallop uphill, it was pulling so said "lets see what you can do", apparently it took off, then at the top of the hill he asked it again and said he couldnt believe that it took off again... words to that effect anyway..

I have KOR as the 4th leg of a L15, stuck it in with three from Tue.  Want to lay KOR today but the market is really not helping me do that now or lay off by backing LOI.  The market move for LOI is ominous and I assume mostly on the back of Hughes saying he preferred it.

The form is difficult to assess and drawing a line through Buratino gives it to KOR but factoring in KOR got beat at Ascot (first run) and had the rail at Sandown where maybe taking form from the 5f straight can be a little unreliable.  Does anybody knows why LOI hasn't run since Ascot race (first run winner and Hannon's usually improve) and after Hannon stated it would run in the Coventry they decided on the Norfolk? It's strange they put two outsiders in the Coventry and then these two together in the Norfolk on can only assume the owners have insisted on it.

I think Steady Pace is the best guide to the form as Buratino has clearly improved even compared to 3 weeks ago.

Using Buratino as a form guide is pointless IMO. Against LOI/KOR he was racing over 5 furlongs, which was an inadequate trip and jockeys do look after 2yo once they are beat, especially if they know its going to be better over further.

It is a sprint and both prices are desperate now. I backed LOI last night but only in my multi. I will be having a small ew Ajaya as the price looks very tasty, as the horse it lost to went in again at Chelmsford last night and the fourth has also since won, giving him the beating of the Given horse today. Throw in that Haggas has won this in the past with 16/1 shot Approve, I think the 20/1 is much more value 80 place 20 win.

I smell a rat today as it looks too easyLaugh

Good luck

They certainly don't look inseparable on form - KOR is 5-10 pounds better.

Report Swardean June 18, 2015 12:52 PM BST
Already layed them both.    If the are both as good as each other, there is a chance they are both not as good as we may think.   Pointless trying to pick one as its guess work.

Log Out won a class 2 on it's only run at Ascot - end of April
King Of Rooks ran in class 3 mdn at Ascot and finished 3rd

KOR then ran another two races winning both clss 4 mdn (6f) & Listed (5f). It beat Burantino who is definitely not his best at 5f.

So KOR has done his stuff winning a listed event and can enhance his CV by a placing in Group company today.

I reckon Log Out is the better horse which is why they have saved it for Ascot

I think King of Rooks will win and it does look slight overpriced? As for those on here going about Richard Hughes saying that Log Out Island is the better horse and one he would ride if he had the choice. How did IVAWOOD get on yesterday? The guy was practically saying it was a cert. Laugh  So, I have learnt over the years to take whatever jockeys say with a pince of salt and it has stood me in very good stead regarding my betting on Horse Racing.
