Sorry Tim but that is absolutely appalling 'American Dream' BOLLOX!
FFS it's a Walt Disney film! A typical American 'mom' with zero knowledge of horses 'masterminds' the career of an all-time great...as if 'the lord' has guided her! That's akin to me taking on Garry Kasparov at chess and kicking his arse! That said, it prompted me to have a browse online about a fantastic horse and although I was aware he was a flop at stud, I didn't realise just how bad he was - Tinners Way, Bluebook (yes, Henry's one) Athyka & Insijaam were his best progeny - has there ever been a bigger disappointment in the breeding sheds? Watched it several times and really enjoy it. Some horse and a great story even if it has been embellished.

Best progeny were Lady's Secret, Risen Star and Melbourne Cup victor Kingston Rule who still holds the race record... Top class broodmare sire.......... Able Friend has Secretariat top and bottom in his lineage through Storm Cat and his dam Volksraad........... |

the storyline is ok but the one thing that always detracts from horse racing movies is the race sequences
