Just noticed that apart from Saturday, the Handicap races have been moved to be the last and /or penultimate race(s) of the  day. I wonder why this change has been made ?

So that  the Pattern race snobs can get off home early - and not risk having their car bumped into by the hoi polloi and heaving masses exiting the course.

even the hunt cup,besides the hunt cup think most of the handicaps have always been the later races tues to fri

It's only really the Duke of Edinburgh that has really moved much in the timings for this year isn't it? The Wolfreton has gone to the Saturday but at the same time.

Just checked back over previous years of betting records, and you're right ! They've always been late in the cards.

gives the punters a chance to get ahead before throwing their money away on impossible 30 runner races (form was there if you go back 4 years ...)
