Did a £3 ew Lucky 15 on Friday last. Their prices 8-1, 11-2, 9-4, 9-4.  Actual SP returns were 20-1, 6-1, 4-1, 9-4. First 3 horses won, last one unplaced. Expected to collect 3300 but instead paid 2100.
Bet settled at early prices 1100 plus 1000 (max limit on bonus guarantee!!)  Came away with 1225 less than SP. If the last horse had won I would have been 9500 down on SP.
Their early prices are a joke-by far the worst in the market-not in a million years would I take them if not guaranteed.
The screens in the shop were all advertising BOG for multis. Their PR man constantly announces over the speaker system " anybody doing multiples make sure and take the prices because you have absolutely nothing to lose...if the Sp is bigger we will pay that", but somewhere in the small print there is a 1000 max which they dont advertise.
For anyone not backing short price favs this guarantee is basically a scam. Best Odds Guaranteed my hole.

This is morally wrong, everybody knows what BOG means !

To apply a limit retrospectively is bordering on criminal!

Fair enough, some bookmakers apply restrictions ( singles, doubles etc), but to advertise multi's are paid at BOG, and then apply a £1000 limit beggars belief !  Trade descriptions should be informed !

I didnt accept payment. Shop staff said their hands were tied on the matter and to contact head office. Took an hour to get a supervisor and he passed the query on to the area manager. He then rang back today to say they were not paying out the balance as those were the rules

They should be made to advertise it as BOG with a £1000 maximum bonus.

Yes,signorina roseina. Saddo, the fact is they are not guaranteeing their board prices for multiples. They are guaranteeing them if your bet goes down. What they are guaranteeing is an extra 1000 above their own board prices if the Sps are bigger( which they are in the vast majority of cases) There is a considerable difference. It is not right. It is false advertising

Pathetic stuff. Similar to these 'money back if you finish second deals. It's not money back, it's another bet. And if it wins they keep the stake.

If anything, this evil practise will only encourage Ladcrooks to continue with their industry worst early prices.

These creatures have been getting away with whatever they like for a long long time. Some laws need bringing in to stop this thievery. They want EVERYTHING their own way ALL the time.

Ladbrokes: My sister placed a r/f on the dogs. It came csf paid £25. When she went to collect they said the bet was late and returned her stake. She refused to take it and went through a number of supervisors on the phone. She kicked up a storm (if they knew her they could have saved themselves the aggro!)and they paid up. If you 'lose' in such corcumstances at Ladbrokes they DON'T tell you it was void cos it was late but if it 'wins' they tell you it's void. THE WORST bookmakers to punters and staff.

Every shop door and website should carry a sign "Winners will not be allowed to bet", but they don't.

A late bet that has been voided and subsequently a losing slip will be a sleeper that will never be collected unless you have a manager from the old school who has the balls to tell you, it's not encouraged to put it mildly.

The thing is,if Ladcrooks are claiming they offer "BEST ODDS GUARANTEED" (for 1000), can they claim "BEST ODDS GUARANTEED" ( for 500) or even "BEST ODDS GUARANTEED" (for 100)??
Isn't it like claiming "I'M RUNNING A MARATHON" (for one mile)

Most of these offers are to lure in the casual punter. Shoddy stuff from laddies but hardly surprising. Anyone betting regularly on here should be streetwise enough to check T+C,s on ANY offer.

saddo - I get what you are saying and they know they will probably get away with the odd rant for anyone who does get hit with the maximum. Any offers I see I try to read the T&Cs as it's generally different than what you are expecting.

But surely when it is being offered over a speaker in their hundreds of shops they should at least quote "terms and conditions apply"? They do everything they can to hide away all of the T&Cs, any other business would surely (or should) be pulled up on it.

No doubt their rep will get interrogated on his next appearance about their shoddy prices and underhand tactics.....

PS - Good luck PH-TR

The sad thing is that nobody is surprised by these things anymore. Little morality to be found in High St. or Internet bookmakers generally.
