The first time in years I got derby day offSurprised

Out early yesterday evening in the town and quenching my thirst with a few peroni's, I popped into one of Joes shops (just to be nosey) and asked the boss how the day had gone, he replied we have taken more on the bingo than the favourite in the Derby.

Went into work today and looke d athe figures they were desperate, the won on the race yet the pr man for the firm is saying we lost millions

unless they get champions league qualification for the winner the fa cup is finished .

the derby should be brought back to a wednesday and made into a 1 day meeting,derby-oaks-coronation cup-dash-3 other races.

just my opinion of course.

Visited 4 benny Hills Shops early doors to consume some of the Bottle about GOLDIE.
4 Handed and asked for bets of monkey, monkey, bag of sand and 5 large in each shop.

Don't know which was more funny the amounts we were told we could have or the Arcades Attendants faces when they looked at the slips.

They say its cost the Industry 10M plus ,how do they have to pay when they wont lay ?

I went in each on Saturday morning, paddies empty, wouldn't lay me a penny on the Derby as sp only, corals had 4 people in, 2 on machines and 1 doing footy, 1 doing bingo slips. Not allowed a penny on Derby again as sp only, laddies had 7 in, 3 on machines, 1 on footy machine, 3 waiting for inflated prices at 9.00, will hill had 1 regular in playing fobt, they laid me £100 on golden horn at 2/1, betfred had 3 regulars reading the paper and 2 playing the machines, wouldn't lay me a penny on Kilimanjaro at 20/1 as sp only.

I was in a Badblokes last week. They had a lady walking about the shop offering to assist people in how to put a bet on but more so encouraging people to plough money into FOBT, I made my excuses and left.

Game is dying a very very slow and painful death. "Bookies" doing what they like and getting away with it.
