Duncan , i have followed  / backed the horse around 9 or 10 times including it's win 2 weeks ago the horse races prominent or leads , it is a through stayer who finds, as the horse did for today's jockey 2 weeks ago. no effort was made to get any where near the front today for what ever reason i don't know , but it sure wasn't for the punters benefit thats for sure

the owner lives close to Goodwood and the horse is being aimed at the 2m5f race at the glorious meeting, the horse is an out and out stayer and he will revel in the long trip

carrot, i think being drawn widest of all prob didnt help if they had wanted to lead/sit handy and also meant he was 3 wide most of way...i certainly dont think they set out to 'not run the horse on its merits' having watched it again but game's about opinions...form of his win got a boost, that's for sure
