Well - The American Pharoah story only really came to fruition from Midnight - the race being 'Off' at nearly 5 minutes to 12 o'clock.
So, perhaps, he thought that American Pharoah was a Sunday story.

BBC NEWS Channel - in early hours of this morning - on their 'Sportsday' feature - mentioned American Pharoah as their 4th item...
- following on from the sour-faced Scot getting beaten at Tennis, Women's World Cup (of course) and some Cycling from somewhere.
NO mention of the Epsom Derby, whatsoever.
BBC 'Sportsday' - it is an embarrassing, minority sports, shambles, day in, day out.
