The only slight doubt was he was a touch keen over the strong run 10 furlongs LTO, but he was less keen than Elm Park and Jack Hobbs & most of the horses in this race have been keen/have doubts over staying ability. He looked 7 pounds better than Jack Hobbs, 10 pounds better than Elm Park and close to a stone better than the other horses. He was going away at the finish in what was a strongly run race so I don't really doubt his stamina, particularly with one of AOB's likely to set a strong gallop.

If you really want to talk yourself into this one, you could argue
1) Wohler doesn´t travel often. If he puts a horse in abroad, he fancies it.
2) The G3 in Germany was on very heavy ground.
3) On his reappearance over a mile he won on fast ground, and only got going late.
4) He was the German Derby fancy over the winter due to the impressive nature of his maiden win.
