differentdrum, most sportsman from 50 yrs ago readily admit that their modern-day counterparts are superior, purely because training regimes, science and nutrition have improved hand over fist...jockeys 50 yrs ago used to live on ciggies and ride at 8 stone...it's a no-brainer

DI, if someone (who could remember more than the last five minutes) did a top 10 sportsmen of all time I think you would find Pele, Bradman, Ali and Piggott in it, not to mention a few others from decades ago. The likes of Moore and Hughes wouldn't be thought about.
