Those figures Duncan could quite easily represent a trainer in good form

hard to interpret 4 lasts as being in good form whichever way you slice it

olias, the next time you find a trainer with similar form figs that is 'very much in-form' (ie to be noteworthy) let me know...and i'll start Place laying them!

favourite saying of alot of the racing tv pundits.all these trainers must find this job an easy one never out of form. i wish one of them would just say the horses are running like a bag of shiite.another annoying one is interviewing jockeys and saying your mount must have a good chance even though its been beat 102 length in its last startCry

Its possible that the last 4 L's if meaning last are not really that bad. For example what if the horse was last in the betting in all 4 cases. What if its was last in 4 races but not beaten very far in 4 very tightly run races. What if they ran fast from the front in a contested lead. The other important questio0n here is do we really want to be backing horses that are considered 'in form' by conventional means

You are trying to defend the indefensible - Olias

She is just a 'dart-thrower' who gets lucky one in a blue moon.

Just like her make counterpart - with the incomprehensible accent - who, for some unfathomable reason, the racing channels keep interviewing - thus putting us through the purgatory.

I am not even referring to Perret I am simply talking about those figures and how meaningless they can be regardless of who is behind them

My point is that you have to look beyond the raw figures and when you have you then have to decide whether it is better to back trainers that appear to be out of form or those bang in form according to whatever method of measurement you have used.
