they won't at southwell.The new start can't be moved ,so will always be at the new distance.

According to the BHA website all NH courses have been remeasured from the inside rail and not from the middle of the course as was the case previously,hence the change in distance. If you log onto the BHA site you can see the new distances for all NH courses.

Just had a thought that Racing Post may have automatically 'back-dated' all such races - But - 20 years ago ...

-------------- - and THEN - they MOVE the rail FROM the Inside to towards the middle, on the bends. As ever - with the BHA - 'you could not make it up'.  |
