I'm withdrawing my support for the new site because of 2 specific errors that show no sign of being resolved.

1) The population of amount fields does not work when you click Liability on SOME odds. I had previously posted about this and some forumites said that my stakes were below the minimum and that that was the reason. That is not the case and I have encountered the error several times since - more investigation on my own part has revealed that if you vary the amount in the Liability box then it will work. Not very satisfactory.

2) When you click on a new horse racing market from the Horse Racing Todays Cards index, the card refreshes to show the time and meeting but the runners still belong to the last race you have been looking at! Trash!

I still use the old site, absolutley perfect and there was no need to make a new site in my opinion.

Now if they could bring back Betfair lite I'd be very grateful. I have an android phone and trying to use the exchange on it is one of the most frustrating things a person can do!

Do the I.T people of Betfair just decide they need to make so many changes to justify their existence and overpaid wages?

Everything they seem to touch seems to be disaster after disaster.

they should create a separate arcade site.

i like very little about the new site, infact, l like nothing about it, which is why
i use the old site, which in comparison is fantastic.

I do notice a marked improvement since I started this thread - the cards problem doesn't seem to be happening now

the liability/amounts problem is intermittent and difficult to monitor

I must be in a team of one,as since switching to the new site over 6months ago,I have never had cause to go back to the old site, and haven't encountered any problems.
However,I will say on mobile phone I have gone back to the old android app.,which is very easy to navigate around.

Just one question BCS - why does the new site not respond as quickly as the old one when placing an identical bet or lay?  There is obviously more processing going on, and I'm sitting here like a prize idiot waiting for the screen to catch up.  Please message me or contact by phone - thank you.

BCS

Could you also look into some other serious issues that need to be addressed before yous make the terrible decision to get of the old site altogether.

The boxes in the market view need to be increased in size to the same size as the old  -  apart from the current size been too small and making it harder for the user - when typing a bet in - the "what if" profit and lose figure that goes underneath the selection name - makes the boxes toggle up/down as the current box sizes is too small!! Its been like that since day 1 of the new sites - and is a disaster if you are trying to bash a few bets out inrunning - screen jumping up and down etc..

Also try selecting all to lay or back - and quickly try and type (quickly) odds or amounts in the boxes in the my bets tab. Every 3rd or 4th thing you type comes in as typo - say try type 1.11, comes up as 11 , as the 1. gets erased as you type the rest of the number 11 - the site is too slow to cope with inputting figures quickly.

Theres no way you can play seriously inurnning with the above 2 problems - if you trying to hedge a position off inrunning and you cant type the figure you want in theres something severly wrong.

Also everytime i login and out why do i have to unclick the Timeform option - Some people dont want that rubbish taking up the rest of the screen and slowing things down even further. Make it an option that once you unclicked it - it will stay that way untill you decide you need that rubbish to fill up the rest of the screen.

You can check how much i have payed bf in commy and pc in the 14 years or so I have been on this site. I can honestly say I wont be coming back if things dont radically change with the new site before the old one is sent to the scrap heap.

Cannot see that the 'New' site will EVER be as efficient as the OLD Site - because isn't it built on a differing platform? - Hence it's creation.

If it simply cannot cope after a few years of them trying (presumably) - then what difference is a few more weeks going to make?

All Betfair's testing is obviously done on the basis that the user is placing one - unhurried - bet on the 3:30 race .... but at 11:00 in the morning.

I cannot imagine their IT testing team having the nous, wherewithal, and dexterity to even try and replicate the way that many - if not most - of us operate on here.

If Betfair take the old site down I will take my business elsewhere. I hate the new site and wont use it. Over many years the commission betfair have had off of me is considerable to say the least, but I wont hesitate to go elsewhere if the option to go to the old site is removed.
