the amount stats he came out with for each horse, was encyclopaedia
I'd go fcuking insane if i did that,he must spend hours
the results weren't any better

cunningham is big into the official rating of these horses......but then youre going to be backing horses always at the top of the market........i have noticed when he very rarely goes for a big price it never wins and mostly down the field

Cardiff, the ratings are just a form interpretation made by the handicapper, aren't they.
So all he's really doing is blindly following someone else's opinion - you might as well put Ashleigh or HardestGame up...

As stats go that's 1 hell of a load of bollax with regards to G.Lee riding a winner in 3yr old group races.

Whether he's tipping favs or whatever, just wish he'd tip them elsewhere. His patronising voice and smug grin (at least I think it's a grin) SO Fickin irritating.

He can't be tipping the jolly in every race as he hardly ever tips a winner for goodness sake! Didn't he go through the whole Cheltenham festival in 2013 without tipping a winner?

It says it all about his ability as a form analyst that Coral pay him money to appear on their voice network giving tips to the people in their shops.
Same story the equally contemptible Yates at Ladbrokes...

they are no more experts than me and you ,most repeating stats that are freely avaiable to anyone who,s interested in looking them up,the likes of yifter who no,s he,s a chancer will no he,ll get pelters for putting up losers by the likes of me so will always pick from the front of the market in the hope of the , [[throw as much shoite, syndrome]in the hope of landing a few winners and justifying his job wheres as francome was a more social punter as i call them was happy to put up 30 losing horses and landing the odd bullseye at big odds, yiifter, jimbo etc no full well on staurdays at the big meetings the front of the market is absolutly strangled and should never be putting favs up even if they win

LOL ,the shoe maybe best at picking over priced horses[ in his eyes ] to finish in the 1st 6 [ out run their price,in those eyes of his ]but for picking winners i,d say he,s at the bottom of any list

they should be there to give the angles and info to help build a picture instead of trying to be clever
racing needs interesting people like mordin , people who think outside the box and can really teach something , or ex trainers jockeys who really know the sport
i could present ch4 , if it ran well last time and likes the ground it should win , easy
you wouldnt get bruce forsyth presenting or analyzing football , you get ex players managers who know the game and see what punters miss

ex trainers, LOL, brought up and encouraged to decieve punters for 50 years, now you want them payed to help punters, LOL, you,ve more chance of winning the lottery than stoutey pointing you in the direction of a birds nest,

It's an interesting aspect of the analysis is the issue of deception and trainers' intentions indeed. There was once the comm said 'running for a mark' about a horse, and that had to be seen as a pretty dodgy comment pre-race, but it was probably spot on!

There was a 'one for another day' in the rp comments yesterday. Hughes was onboard, hannon actually had the fav but think frankie was riding, hughes was 3rd.

gc tips the obvious form horse, its the dot to dot of form study,he tips ones that have proven everything,he picks the sort of horse you would do when you first started to understand the form.his trust in the obvious is child like.he then sits there all smug because hes worked out that the only group one winner at the trip and on the going in the race is his selection.when you realise its not that simple you re assess how you look at the form - but alas he dosent.

Eddie Freemantle the best if there is one IMO. But picking a winner in every race is impossible whoever you are and doing it well.

Eddie Fremantle used to be in my tipping tables, until he stopped tipping in the Racing Post. If he weas still tipping, he would be 3rd in the list, so he's no slouch by any means.
As an aside I saw him at Thirsk last Wednesday. You can't miss thos shoes !

comingupthehill - the fact is of course you need to factor in price, rather than just whether each horse will win, which is the thing the summarisers often seem to neglect to discuss much at all.

cunningham is de facto a bookies rep---always on lookout for next junket to US or wherever. Of all of them, he's least entitled to adopt that grating cocky tone

"you wouldnt get bruce forsyth presenting or analyzing football , you get ex players managers who know the game and see what punters miss" But isn't that part of the reason why they got Fitz? And he is one of the biggest turn offs there is....

tbh I don't believe a guy like GC can help himself, he will always pick the fav because of his way of thinking.
The fav in many cases will have the best form or what looks likely to have the best chance but form is just a GUIDELINE. Punters need to think for themselves and essentially understand that most of the time the form book does not replicate itself, it cannot foresee the conditions of the race ahead, pace, ground etc etc.
Hes lazy and just looks a the likes of Golden Horn and says just look at the Dante, will take some beating, lazy.
FWIW I think GH should be bigger, the ground is coming right for him but I don't believe he'll get home. you need to take a stance here, hes currently 13/8 and there are simply too many unknowns in this race , numerous well bred middle distance pedigrees and talented horses to be taking that price. if he wins half the track, currently as it stands, unless u know hes the next sea the stars its a bad 13/8 shot and I couldnt back him.
EPICURUS is a MASSIVE price. Will stay, MAY improve for better ground being by rail link, top trainer. Whats not to like, let the fav win at that price.

Absolutely right - but the obscenity of the fact that he's sending his invoices in to Coral didn't seem to remotely cross his mind when he was supposedly 'interrogating' Simon Clare about the scandalous Grand National SP percentages on C4 recently...
