does anyone happen to know what this name is all about as there was a legendary racing journalist called Robin Parke out here in HK but this horse is a filly. To muddy the waters further, she is owned by a David Armstrong and a David Armstrong (Aussie) used to editor the HK-based South China Morning Post when we worked together

They name their horses after local places....if you look up Robin Park it's in Wigan. You'll find Parbold, Eccleston, Adlington nearby...other horses of theirs.

Yes, David Armstrong lives in Coppull, nr Chorley.   He has always named his horses as local place names.   Robin Park is near the Wigan FC football ground.

Dan, he has never named a horse "Coppull", the village where he lives.   He is waiting for the one.

guys thank you very much. the names are very coincidental, especially as parkie had some great buddies up north like keith stone and robin o'ryan and was probably well know to richard fahey.

Evening, Happy Valley.

I see you got 'a mention in despatches' in the Weekender, a couple of weeks ago.
