I'm afraid I have to disagree with you chaps, George gave Jacob Cats a superb ride, the horse is very tricky and has to be held up and finds little when he gets to the front so George nursed him to the lead but was out done by a couple of more resolute horse. If he'd have thrashed it would have curled up. If you had taken the 12/1 this morning you would have had a nice EW return.

I have mixed feelings about GB. He's a very tactically astute, clever rider but very weak in the saddle; I've genuinely seen stronger claimers and amateurs.
Basically the opposite of Paul Hannagan who's very strong in the saddle but limited by his inability to read a race or doing anything tactically other than point and shoot |

I'm not just on about that race, but in general. I did show a profit but should have been a bigger one, georgebaker

performs miles better on teh AW imo. He isn't along in that criticism either, you can also add: Adam Kirby, Luke Morris and Chris Catlin.

top horseman and ideal choice for horse that's tricky, nervous or wont settle - and there are lots of them. very well respected in the game, that's why he still gets loads of work despite being too heavy to ride about half the horses in any given race. but yes if you have a average 5 year old gelding that races 12 times a year and only responds to a hard ride from a very strong jock, you probably wouldn't put George up.
