They can't void a bet if they took it, unless palpable.
By:
so you are not the original pencil man who was a convicted con man ?
By:
Not true kenny, if you are an X certificate punter they will void anything win or lose. Making winners void is not uncommon practice.

I agree mate...noir not the dealer

1. They are allowed to refuse all or part of any bet offered to them.
2. As far as I'm aware, they are not breaking any laws by doing this as long as they are not visible to the public. 3. Email me the details and I'm confident I will get you your winnings for the bet they accepted from you. |

Corals have done it to me, when you are monitored and have restrictions and a bet is taken beyond what they want it gets referred to security/loss prevention and they say bet is void and I'm barred for life

I've sent it to Ibas so il wait until I have reply and let you know....
By:
I hope I'm still around by the time you get your ruling from IBAS.....

If fredbet have specifically told you you're not welcome and you placed the bet then fair do's
If they aint then how can they refuse payment? |
By:
really, Slippy, well if you do sneak one on it would obviously make sense to pick the winnings up in a strange city.

Paul,a friend, and no it isn't me,has a case pending with IBAS over a Cheltenham bet from one of the big4.Time goes by,and no word for a month, only an acknowledgement. The next step I suggested is small claims court, and I well represent my friend,no solicitor required,as I am fully aware of the rules.

So if you sneak a bet on at a place you're barred from betting, an unscrupulous person could either pick the winnings up elsewhere, or go for their money back if the horse loses!

@unbiased - IBAS communication is woeful to say the least.
Small Claims Court action is inexpensive, and effective in persuading bookmakers to pay up. It usually results in full settlement after 14 days on cases I've been involved with. If your friend wants any help or advice on going down this route, I'm happy to oblige. betdisputeadvice@gmail.com |

PERHAPS PENCIL MAN THEY ARE MAKING U PAY FOR YOUR PAST MISSDEEDS...
By:
I thought once you went to IBAS you had to abide by their decision.
By:
IBAS might think they are above the law of the land but they aren't!

By:
@mmmalushka - Operators registered with IBAS have to abide by their rulings on those rare occasions where they rule in favour of the punter.
If IBAS rule against the punter, there is nothing to stop him commencing legal action. I only wish more people understood this. |
