Yes the draw is important, but, I will never forget Overturns victory (drawn 21), a fantastic ride from Eddie Ahern.

I told everyone on the run up to the race that I fancied Overturn then told them to keep to low stakes after the draw was made. Luckily most of them ignored my advice on the draw and backed it on track.

The one I remember was harwoods Orpheus, backed it 3 times on the course.... one of the biggest crowds I have see at newcastle..
