Yes the draw is important, but, I will never forget Overturns victory (drawn 21), a fantastic ride from Eddie Ahern.
I told everyone on the run up to the race that I fancied Overturn then told them to keep to low stakes after the draw was made. Luckily most of them ignored my advice on the draw and backed it on track. |

The one I remember was harwoods Orpheus, backed it 3 times on the course.... one of the biggest crowds I have see at newcastle..
