As usual, the forum dummies gatecrash a post.

It is a great card Prepared and should be thoroughly enjoyable, plus the weather forecast looks ok.

Like Mange said following Ryan Moore wouldn't do you any damage but I do fancy Vent De Force in the 19.10 big time and 11/4 will be a fair price. I also like Directorship in the last at 10/1 - a good each way play IMO. The 19.45 is an absolute belter for a group 3!

Have a fantastic night, wish I lived closer so I could go!

Tryster in the 7.45 given the ground must be rattling fast tomorrow, stable chat about him also very positive and he will surely be ready for this so that the yard can see if he is worth persisting with on turf.

Arab Spring may get tapped for toe dropping in trip, ground too fast for western hymn and tullius, eagle top may need this with Ascot his main aim and niceofyoutotellme surely not good enough.

A worthy favourite and will surely go off shorter than 2/1 especially as I suspect tullius might be a nr

I'll be there too ....very much agree with the salt beef sandwich best eaten with a wally and strong English mustard. There's a small ground floor real ale bar in the grandstand at £4 a pint...the choices recently have been punter and tipster. Best to get to the bar as quickly as possible after a race to avoid the queues.

what is a wally ?

prepared

from a viewing point of view standing the course side of the bookmakers is as good as anywhere I am a national hunt member at sandown but seldom watch a race from members.for the quality of card tomorrow you will be surprised by the size of the crowd, for the national stakes try to make your way over the course there is a small stand by the winning post for that race, the restaurants in esher are ott pricewise but there is a pizza express at sensible prices.all in all there is nowhere better than sandown to go racing have a great night.

A wally is also known as a gherkin.....the best salt beef sandwiches used to be made at the now closed **** tavern under Smithfield market and that is what they were known as.

Didn't realise you'd changed your forum name jimnast ! Your last visit then was the night before the start of the Tingle Creek meeting.

Siralex I think there'll be sufficient crowd for you to hear the Sandown roar in the last half furlong...hope you and op have a great time.

I'm going as well. the salt beef sarnie for £6.50 is the nuts. The Brigadier Gerard meeting is an absolute gem of a meet. It will be absolutely heaving.

Thought that Areen was very impressive winning on its debut from three experienced, if limited rivals, have to build in the negative of Spencer being in the saddle, but hopefully will put in a good run

Had half an eye on Consort for the Derby but withdrawn but still holds a St James  Palace Stakes entry. Will need to win this to be a serious contender me thinks.

Conceding weight all round but would love to see High Jinx run a big race. Maybe a prep for the Gold Cup.

Have a good night.

Tip for Sandown - buy a train ticket! They had ticket inspectors at both gates at last weeks evening meeting there.

My local track (I shall pretend Kempton even exists) and second only to Goodwood as the finest racecourse in the UK.

im going as well Grin

Sandown my fav course, and this is the best evening meeting of the year Grin

The local brew in the grandstand tipster and they have a couple of others is good too :).

But im sure as the years go by the distance between the train station and the grandstand gets longer every year Laugh

cork I was at York when Areen won (won nicely), however the runner up that day Ravenhoe was giving him 10lbs and was beaten further next time out again.

He may go on and improve again, but its a tough race, with some nice looking horses in it.

Cheers for all the replies lads, i see a few others on here are going as well. Wont be difficult to spot me as im going with my 20 stone bald boss and my 18 stone black work mate. Not going by train as my boss is driving. Will try and have a look on here during the racing so if anyone fancies anything a bit later then post it up. Looking forward to this tonight. Cheers
