Now at home and can see my post managed to at least go up.
Seems busy on here tonight... I thought I was busy with 3 today???? Not sure what was happening with my i-Pad but seriously playing up trying to put messages on here. On the plus side, the mrs was happy with the apartment after all my hard graft today before heading out. On a separate note, I passed a local betting shop while on my travels earlier. A bloke had £328 on one of those one-arm bandit Roulette machine thingies. (£328 quid for gawd's sake - I'd have been well chuffed, wouldn't you?) I happened to say well done when he swiftly spun around and with a really annoyed face informed me that he was still £700 down... Jeez.... Not sure what else to say to that just in case some on here are in the same boat. I hope the bloke left happier than he looked, but sadly, I now fear not. I'm waffling aren't I? See why I don't reply much on here? Good luck tmw guys n gals. A rare good day today so gotta enjoy em while they happen...... hic |

Your waffling is most welcome crooser, at least it is harmless unlike most of the posts on here tonight, gl with tomorrows

Thanks Cork Langer.
Am in and out as cooking... Mrs worked late so in the bath while I cook.... well warm the pizzas and prepare the salad haha. |

gl crooser, for sure you had the right attitude by congratulating him but not sure you can influence or help the people on the FOBTs unless you know them personally as they wouldn't take anything you said seriously, especially if they were dealing with losing a grand
Surely they know it's a fixed percentage? It's game over from the moment they play Thinking about it, they are probably worse off in the end if they win the first couple times they give it a punt. better off blindly betting overs/unders on EPL or La Liga ![]() |
By:
Agreed eightbo...
I could go into a ramble now but won't. I just sincerely hope the guy pulled out while he could. Since when did Fruit Machines become known as FOBT? We seriously need to spank those bokkies' bums.... haha |

While the luck seems to be in, I've been tempted into trying a lovely little 16-1 shot.
Atlantis Crossing has not won for a while but I hope he can change that in the 7.40 at Kempton. Is on a decent enough AW mark, has plenty of course and distance form and his run at Wolves last time wasn't too bad and he did as well as could be expected (under Kelly) on his first start over 7f for a while. Back to Kempton (which I think suits slightly better than Wolves) over 7f again with Cosgrave booked I reckon we're on for an improved showing. Let's hope this and Mount Vesuvius cause a few tremors... |

Like yesterday, am mulling over a 3rd runner today.
That little race in Ireland the 6.20 with just 5 runners... Bolger's Countess Constance at 14-1 has almost tempted me (but not quite yet). All those three much shorter in the market appear to have better form but all three won on soft or heavy and really not sure any of them will translate that to today's good/firm. At least Bolger's really did look unhappy with the the heavy last time and clearly looked like today's better ground would suit. The other don't convince me of that at all. Though I remember a trainer telling me that NO horse likes really heavy ground - some just handle it better than others, so it is quite possible that one of those three will handle today's ground and therefore could beat Bolger's. I guess now I've mentioned it it'll go down as a tip but after all this typing I'm going to give it a miss and stick with the two I've already put up. 14-1 would be worth a try though EVERY each-way bet I do I have to think WILL or COULD win - I don't just try for the place. This little race I'm not sure that at least one of those three could pop up... If that makes sense. |

Hadn't quite finished so god knows why I pressed post reply haha. Not seen the weather apart from clouds coming from the west which might mean Ireland could be seeing rain????
As I said - a no bet, just an interesting watch though. |
By:
And after all that, I have tried a 3rd today, but only cos a mate just told me to try it.
Know sod all but have dabbled on Seaforth in the 7.20 at Gowran Park. 9-1 but only 4 runners. Gotta try while you can eh? |

Hi Crosser, mount versuvius was fancied last Friday but drifted from 3/1 to 7/1 on here before off...I asked paul Henderson last year re this horse running on winter ground and he said needs it like a road over 2m...read what you want into that, well done.
By:
Well he's dropping back in trip tonight and the ground is gd/firm so looks good to me and fingers well n truly crossed.
By:
crooser, is this mate a good mate or an inside source by any chance...?
Reason I ask is that Seaforth appears to have no chance on the form of its races to date and both Bolger and Weld know where they stand with it having trained horses that have beaten it already, throw in the fact both Weld's and Harrington's should show improvement for the benefit of their debut runs and it is even harder to make a case for it unless it has perhaps had "unknown" excuses for its poor runs to date, will watch with interest, gl |

What a complete and total f***up Tom Obrien is.
By:
tom Obrien ran up the ar$e of every horse, bumped every horse, a real rough ride.
By:
A bit unlucky me thinks O'Brien had it all over the track must have got boxed in 3 times + the error at the last when panic set in
By:
Very unlucky...needed the gaps.....didn't come or Tom couldn't find them.
By:
spent most of the race crowded........strange result from a stable that I follow.....................rare unbacked.................thanx for posting...........1 to watch

Can't win em all cruise

Tom to blame shocking ride
By:
Seaforth got second also looked liked winning
By:
Well done Crooser really good tipping
best this forum has seen in a long long time i must say |
By:
Just got in. Grr.......
Seaforth was annoying. Had the 2 hot pots beaten as well and think he ran really well and thought for moments he was going to do it. That thing at Kempton was so naughty in the stalls, missed the start and that was that. And to finish off a rather dismal day, Tom O'Brien didn't exactly do us any favours... Blah! Hope you guys didn't do too much damage. At least we get a bad day out of the way. |
