Step up in trip expected to be the reason for the improved performance. Very open race with lots of other potential improvers, but gotta try one when you get told.
Had a good go on this, for me.
Good luck if you follow. I have this week off so will be chilling lots. Have a great week whatever you're up to.
Also just noticed a nice little runner at a whopping 20-1.
Brocturne Papa Gio really 20-1 in the 3.20 at Redcar? Definitely weighted to go really well, dropping back in trip after last time over too far, lots of good course and distance form and see no reason why he shouldn't go well.
Had a decent go on this and done an each-way double with the other runner.
As ever - best o' British if you dabble.

quite like CM and it is a poor race but one at a silly (crosseresque!) price that may well shorten (and therefore worth watching for future) is Portman's first runner at Redcar in Albert Herring. Form not great and therefore is a big price but this sort of race can throw up any result! GL

Agreed spyker about the Portman runner. Quite a few in this though that are going up in trip and could well improve. Bit of a lottery really but you gotta be in to win. Good luck.

All happening today. Tried a 3rd. Dangerous Age in the 2.40 at Lingfield. 13-2 available and had some of that. Decent jockey taking over after two runs under a 7lb claimer. Enough c/d form and cheekpieces might just eek out that bit more in her.

I do the majority of mine each-way as they're usually an each-way price.
Yes - one will do the job.Two even better. Three a bonanza haha.
Heading off out while the sun shines. Done some work at home, watered the flowers and plants, emptied and re-filled the dishwasher, hung the washing out and changed the bedding. Mrs will be happy later and hopefully and backers will be too if we have a lucky day.
Have a great day all and hope you can make some use of the nice weather.

Steamship... Course I do. I studied maths (and lots of history) and work in and/or around education - hence the week off. Hic (And there really is no need to pick up on any future dodgy spellings now guys n gals haha.)
Didn't think though I'd need to do that on here - a public forum. Guessed people would make their own mind up about my selections regardless. Many seem to do that anyway and perhaps quite rightly, as after all, it is a public forum where we 'tippers' leave ourselves gaping wide open to attack (and sometimes praise).
I will ALWAYS ignore negativity. Not because my tips were obviously crap - as believe it or not, I knew that while they ran shockingly bad. But purely because it's all about opinions which not many of us ever agree on. I obviously feel cra* when one (or many) of my picks runs bad as I know (now) that some will follow me in. All I can say guys is that if they run bad they .... er run bad....
I've worked in racing, for and with some 'interesting people', and I know FULL WELL it sometimes goes bad. A tip is still a tip EVEN IF it runs cra*. Reality is that some do, and if they didn't none of us would be working. Too many think that when a horse runs really badly it can't have been a tip. TRUST ME - IT CAN!
Anyway, we had a good day and if you didn't follow in I hope you had a good day whatever you did.
Let's hope Mount Vesuvius can give the bookies a Shake and a Quake like not seen since Dettori's Magnificent 7.
Sorry for a 2nd waffle. Just opening a rather nice Sancerre thanks to the Cashel...
Sleep well and be happy guys n gals.

Crooser I just put the question in about you keeping a record because you must be well in front which is not easy at the best of times never mind when you are posting them on here.
I'm all for people sharing their opinions as that's what this should be about, without getting hassle if they get beat.

I used to do level stakes but now I do what I fancy or feel. I did drop a hint in yesterday's message that I'd gone in on The Cashel Man a bit heavier than normal. Level stakes works and has for me for so long but now I sometimes stray away from that and risk a bit more on a 'fancied' runner as opposed to one of my own fancies - if you get my drift?

I'm not going to tell people exactly what I do and certainly wouldn't tell anyone else to follow... Yesterday was a good example. Luckily, I 'dabbled' on that first one that wasn't really off from the start (a usual sized bet like a level stakes jobby). I was already in heavy (for me that's about 4/5 times a normal bet) and luckily again, Crowley steered it home. On the big priced one I did about a double each-way normal bet. So compared to my usual level stakes, yesterday was very profitable with the way I played it.
Lots on here need no advice whatsoever off someone like me when it comes to betting and stakes. I probably could make more by using Betfair but I never have. Just a personal choice.

Haha, thanks Breedingmad. Seriously, the old fashioned 'stick a bet on with the best price you can find and hope for the best' still works for me.
Have you seen how many different things you can bet on, for example in football? I'm sure many do well betting on things like number of corners etc. and good luck to them.
I don't normally have enough time to even watch the horses I have a go on so could hardly do anything more.
Have a great day.
