Some while ago we had an exchange via "Twitter" and e mail regarding the accuracy of the content of the Racing Post. I believe that that the discourse was conducted courteously on both sides. Consequently it was with some surprise to learn, when I tried to contact you via "Twitter" on a matter regarding the renewal of my subscription, that you have "blocked" me. Of course it is entirely your prerogative to do this but it does seem a rather draconian step to take over what concluded as an agreement to disagree over various matters. Such action suggests that constructive criticism is unwelcome which it surely not a satisfactory position for any business to adopt?
My attempt to contact you relates to my RP online subscription which has just expired. As yet I have not renewed it. The reason for this is that whenever RP Online is open in my browser CPU usage soars thus slowing down all applications. I was seeking information as to whether there are any plans to improve matters in this regard. I have no similar problems with other sites and, moreover, I am aware other subscribers suffer similar issues.
Perhaps you could let me have your observations on this matter via e mail so I can consider whether to renew my subscription.
Sod all to do with Millington, though I suppose he can send it to his tech boys. RP site problems are normally due to bug-ridden flash adverts. There should be an email address for site problems somewhere on the site, probably under "contact us".

We have noted your comments and would advise that all our monthly, and annual, Members' Club subscriptions automatically renew, unless we are notified to the contrary, in accordance with the terms and conditions that are agreed to by the user at the commencement of the original subscription.
Although no reminders are issued for monthly subscribers, as you will be aware from previous experience, we do email our annual customers in advance of the renewal, to remind them that the next payment will be taken automatically. Our records show that this email was sent on 1st May 2015 around 11.00hrs. It may be worth checking if your email client has wrongly identified this automated email as spam and thus prevented it from reaching your in-box. We have attached a copy of the audit on your account, confirming the email send.
As we received no instructions to the contrary, the subscription was renewed on 14th May 2015 for a further 12 months in the same way that it has renewed for you in the past. The attached audit confirms this and it also identifies that you have logged into the account on each day since the renewal. However, if you no longer require the membership, please let us know and we will arrange for this to be cancelled and provide a refund in full.
We recognise that there can be issues with some of the website content on occasions, but we are currently unaware of any widespread issues with either general performance or video replays. If you are able to provide some specific details, together with a screenshot highlighting the problems you are experiencing at the time they occur, we will look into this for you. Details of the device/PC you are using, together with operating system and browser details would help our investigations.
Kind regards, Mark Nelson Racing Post Customer Services

Mine does and whats worrying is what is it doing when is it going into "overdrive" ... I suspect its data mining and/or running proxy servers both potentially illegal.

Millybags doesn't care about anything other than himself. A coward who bullies the defenceless then runs off and hides, an embarrassment to 'journalism' imo...

AdBlockPlus+ automatically blocks most of the annoying adverts on racingpost.com - which contibute to the CPU issue.
You can get AdblockPlus+ for Chrome - But, I find that it is more efficient on FIREFOX.
Whichever - You MUST use AdBlockPlus+ on racingpost.com.
------------
I use CHROME for BETFAIR - and FIREFOX for RacingPost.
No - Internet Explorer is the worst. The best is Mozilla Firefox - BUT - with the ADD-ON 'AdBlockPlus+' downloaded.https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/AdBlockPlus+ automatically blocks most of the annoying adverts on racingpos
- so that it then resides IN/on your FIREFOX Browswer
^ add.You will need to have Mozilla FIREFOX downloaded - and open - when downloading ...https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/ - so that it then resides IN/on your FIREFOX Browswer
the feed that the RP use for their live prices is the culprit here, any RP webpage that utilises it is susceptible to major slowdown and freezing at constant intervals.
worst times seem to be at the weekends, server traffic, etc, etc
