But Mattmu has improved steadily from looking ordinary in Class 5, to almost winning a Group 2 with a Group 2 penalty. His RPR has climbed, almost without a break, continually through 10 races.
Limato has looked exceptional from the start.
I don't think you can assume that Limato has improved in step with Mattmu. He might have, but that's all speculation at the moment. On RPRs they must be about equal right now.

Speculation indeed ged, but sometimes you have to go with gut instinct and mine would put Limato well ahead of Mattmu, knowing the Candyman very much doubt they have even touched the surface with him yet. Without wanting to sound too critical I just hope he does a better job of placing the horse than he did with Eveningperformance and Airwave respectively who although fairly successful, never really attained the position their ability dictated they should have.
