27-Runner 7 Furlong HANDICAP

21-Eunner 6 Furlong HANDICAP

Well strung-out at the finish.

Countless other examples, aswell - since they altered the configuration and RE-LAID the surface.

Desperately disappointing racing - compared to the previous LAYOUT and surface. Cry

sorry dan - You are absolutely wrong there.

We are talking about a dead STRAIGHT Sprint and Mile course here.

The most important factor is undoubtedly the Going - governed by, of course, primarily the weather (and watering) -
- BUT, ALSO by the composition of the track surface.

If horse do not ACT FULLY on it, or any particular course - then it undoubtedly does not matter HOW they are ridden - or by WHO.

Ive been in the company of jocks & suggested.....................stack em up in the last bend..............(whilst leading) & kick   i.e. the strait a lot faster.....................U go whilst there still on the bend.....................horses speed up on the straight.......................not the bend

----------------

Apoxmately Half the field - in nearly every Straight course race.

That is why they finish strung out like CHASERS in Sprint HANDICAPS, even.

Whichever way you look at it, I agree with Onlooker that there is something slightly unedifying about this all-weather track now.
