I laid the first two home but the promoted horse gained me a measly tenner (I had a bigger liability on the winner) - I profited from that decision but those who backed the first past the post have been robbed - it was a ridiculous decision

The Stewards held an enquiry under Rule (B)11.6 into possible interference at the last flight of hurdles. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that the winner, NELLIES QUEST, ridden by Brendan Powell, had interfered with GIVEAGIRLACHANCE (IRE), placed second, ridden by Andrew Thornton. They found the interference was accidental and had improved NELLIES QUEST’s placing in that when approaching and jumping the last flight of hurdles NELLIES QUEST carried GIVEAGIRLACHANCE (IRE) right handed off her intended line costing her ground and momentum, which the mare then continued to make up on the run to the line, only failing by a nose. They placed GIVEAGIRLACHANCE (IRE) first and NELLIES QUEST second.

Just watched the race again , giveagirlachance was hanging / being ridden directly behind nellies quest so to be honest it would not have made any difference if he would have jumped left at the last ,
