You either go forward from stall 1 at Lingfield or you take a pull, everyone knows that.  And with Spencer riding a hold-up horse what did anyone expect other than what happened.  The horse was always going to be held up.

True, Spencer might have over-done it again (when doesn't he), but the horse didn't do a tap in straight.  It had the perfect sling-shot into the straight, had plenty of track down the outside to run, and yet didn't pass a horse.  It just didn't quicken one bit.

Really not sure how you can blame Spencer for that horse losing by 10 lengths today.

Thought he'd been riding better since coming out of retirement, then this happens. Why does it complicate things so much having him on a horse? Trainers use him, so there must be something to him, but if I was an owner I wouldn't want him near one of mine.

I think one knows that when one bets Spencer, it`s 90% certain that he`s going to ride the race like that.
