Probably not but it might. It is not as if Betfair would need to retool a factory in order to bring it back. They could restart at a day's notice if they can remember which cupboard they stowed the microphones in. As someone noted on another thread, it is probably a victim of management accountancy -- being defined as a cost centre under the Timeform division.

You should be seriously worried if you are signing this because you feel that the presenters ad value to your betting. My only reason for signing is because of the huge misdirection that media presenters bestow upon punters which in turn helps me

olias i very much doubt that anyone on here would follow the presenters' tips however there were frequently interesting debates and competitions .I remember winning tickets to the King George Kempton meeting and also numerous Ascot meetings.

As already mentioned...they'll only listen when it starts costing them money, so a small percentage on here (especially a few big hitters) should SIMULTANEOUSLY boycott Bumfair, even if it's only for one day a week (or a fortnight) until the radio broadcasts are reinstated, so it's up to US to force them to listen!
I often used the radio commentaries and had the sound muted on the TV (especially when there was good racing on At The Adverts) as they were far more honest on there and they often put the boot in on the flagrant 'misjudgements' calling a spade a spade, unlike those TV punters too terrified to jeopardise their permanent seats on the train to tell the truth!
This is a truly appalling decision as the radio service is hardly likely to have much of an impact on their expenses...why don't they just sack a few of those monotone, automaton ballbags who appear on ATR & RUK every day or better still, the senseless bellends that monitor this fcukin' forum and make it a free-for-all? Problem solved

Like most on here I'd have it on between races, not saying it influenced my punting decisions, but some of the presenters and pundits were very good, and put different angles on events !
Not Betfairs finest hour....

mate used to call them up during the big meetings when he knew they were under the kosh and had little time and say he fancied this horse because of the dam or sires breeding - he used to make up all kinds of stuff and they would just go on air and repeat it...bloody comical at times

Signed it was very good - and when Live video is not working which letrs face it is frequent its certainly the next best choice - or at least there should be the option to have RUK or ATR on video once a betting threshold is reached - linked to commision and points.

firstly, all tv and radio presenters and pundits are people that have to work because they cant make money from backing their selections, believe me,if they could they would not be poncing around in a studio talking all afternoon, secondly you cant listen to them without it affecting the way you see a race and will have you doubting your own selections, you may not think it will but it WILL.so if your only playing at the game and are just looking for some guidance(from people that cant make it pay)or just want some entertainment between racing then i suppose you might miss it,but i very much doubt many serious players tune in and wouldnt care if its on or not,so for me its a not signed and hopefully they will spend the money saved on making the site more reliable

Who was the guy who would whisper a lot and suddenly bellow a few words? I would vote yes if he was not part of the broadcasting outfit! Think that was Paul Jacobs.I thought the radio had gone a bit downhill poor presenters apart from Dudders and some of the pundits Dan Barber Joe Nordoff totally useless

Having yesterday suffered that fm radio racing with incomprehnsible Irish presenters and nauseating cheap advertising, then W Hill radio with their in-jokes and poor presntational skills, then yes PLEASE bring back Timeform radio. Not all of us have or want tv. However please recruit paddock judge Ken Pitterson from WH, he is very good imo.
