Wins by a neck so it'll take a hell of a lot more than an accidental whack across the nose to get that reversed.

ironically (for the whip issue complainants) he had whip in correct hand throughout, if he didn't he would have had more case to answer.

The Stewards held an enquiry under Rule (B)11.6 into possible interference on the run to the line. Having
heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that the winner, MAC LE COUTEAU, ridden by Adam Wedge, had interfered with CHARMING LAD (IRE), placed second, ridden by Mr Danny Burton, in that he had twice hit CHARMING LAD (IRE) over the nose with his whip. They considered that the interference had not improved MAC LE COUTEAU’s placing in that CHARMING LAD (IRE) did not lose significant momentum as a result and MAC LE COUTEAU appeared to be holding him at the line, where the winning distance was a neck. They therefore ordered the placings to remain unaltered. The Stewards found Wedge in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding. They suspended him for 1 day as follows: Thursday 30 April 2015. |

Always debateable whether the whip would be classed careless, but reversing places seemed 1.0001 that could be done.

*not be done

Different jockey, different result. (nap)

The stewards are useless turds, they probably sit in the office all afternoon fingering their do nuts thinking they are important
|
|
By:
Had no interest in race and could not be overturned on the rules as it stands, but I think there should be a rule change to include deliberate whip interference as I think this was penalty would be automatic place reversal.
|
|
By:
i dont think the whip incident would effect the result but the winner moved a couple of yards to its right causing slight interference `00yds out
