It follows a trend with tv advertising. Cartoons,puppets and cgi seem to be used as a means of patronising an audience that is assumed wouldn't understand a normal communication using actual human beings.

I layed him in running.... Set off at a ludicrous pace. Couldn't see him staying.... came from the clouds.

Maybe they want shot of racing, outside of punters', who gives a **** about racing?

Certainly should be all about the history and the prestige of the race not an effing cartoon.

Just watched it, first of all I thought I was watching some ad trailer for something else ! 

What audience is this aimed at ?  You don't need a cartoon for a Grand National trailer.  Trying to go too arty and it doesn't work, don't think this was a good idea.

I'm literally lost for words.

Whoever gave the go ahead for this abomination should be gelded or at the very least keelhauled. Just so unbelievably stupefying it defies any sensible logic that it was ever commissioned in the first place.

c4 is more left wing than the bbc, they probably want to hide the fact that real horses race.

A week after the Festival, and all the great footage they have from that, along with all the Grand National archive footage...and this is what they come up with. It's embarrassing.

Hope i'm not the first to say  i like it,it's fresh as Will.i.am would say and what's wrong with that?

New young bloods have to be attracted to this great and noble sport,and i applaud Channel 4 for their efforts with this short and catchy trailer,i like it.

The list of what's wrong with will.i.am and the like is too long.

Will.i.am is very close to his mum always has been and has helped and positively influenced many young people across the globe what's not to like about him,Facts ??

Mass hysteria vs non talent. Hyped up exposure on vacuous shows like The Voice. Over exposed and overblown ego.

It looks like an advert for a mobile phone game or a new kids film not quite sure what they were going for there...

Media psychologists are involved in these decisions, they probably know what they are doing. It has an element of `Frozen` about it. Will it attract more housewives? well considering most housewives are addicted to progs such as the Voice then, i bet it does. Us punters will be tuning in whatever.

The Grand National is all about betting, which this ad portrays abysmally.

It's an abysmal advert full stop.

Brilliant and I've just booked four tickets purely on the strength of that advert.

Looks like this years' race is being moved from Aintree to Pandora!

I applaud C4 that we still have racing on a main TV channel, but just think they got it wrong with this GN trailer, still, it is catchy, different I would have said.

Not too late to change it.
