You know the horse is a front runner thats going to stay on and not fade under pressure, so why give it that much of a head start then say go 50yds out, just dont understand the logic. Jockeys would be dangerous with brains

Nothing can be proven but a man of his experience and with his knowledge of his ride, Enlace, to hold that particular horse up as far as he did suggests that he did not intend to win. He did not have a bad break, he was not shuffled back, nor was he stuck in the stalls. So why, as you rightly ask Cole, did he hold a front runner up so far back? Would he have done any of this if the horse would have started at 10-1?

i think your looking for things that arnt there ... this horse was at one time pretty useful and as it was backed it was obviously felt it was back to that , i cant see any reason why they wouldnt wish this to win ,it was ridden along with the other market leader too far back one being tracked by the other .The two jockeys obviously thought they had each other to beat... they were wrong ,the winner just galloped on and won the race while the other two were playing tactics .If your saying the second wasnt trying why would it run on so hard and get so close... as spock might say ... its illogical .he made an error and im sure he knows that .
