Sadly, for those of us who are a certain age, many no longer have their Mum Sad. And probably neither a Dad. It's true what they say, you change as a person when your parents pass away.

Dad died just over 12 months ago....lovely happy chap. Used to phone me every day. Still wait for the call...then reality kicks in.Sad
Mum diagnosed with pancreatic cancer over 3 years ago... The Queen Elizabeth Hospital decided to give her one last chance and performed the 8 hour Whipple op.... which is very complex....she is now one of the longest survivors of this op in the UK.....so thanks to the top Docs for giving her more time....just completed the 4 hour round trip from taking her out for a meal. Made her pay of course.........not really!Happy

My Mom had a quadruple by-pass operation in 2009. Went to see her just after the op; and I didn't think she'd survive the night ! She had another four years... God rest her soul...

One of the things that's always intrigued me is how close Moms are to their sons, and, how close Dads are to their daughters.   Happy

I just remember from a parental point of view, my Mother was far closer to my brother and I, and my Father much closer to my two sisters !
