ive bet on every race... so about 26 bets.... average of £10 stake....couple of £20's in there £280.... won on Gerraghty horse on Monday.... and then last 3 winners..... so £80 + £70 + £70 + £80.... so about £20 quid up including stake in last on Ruby's horse.

Greenhope at 20s and black jack ketchum won that day too

£116 up on the 4 days . I aimed for £500 profit but laid a Mullins horse today that won . That man Mullins again !

About £200 up. Disappointed that Shaneshill ran in the Supreme rather than the Neptune, Wounded Warrior in the RSA than the 4 miler and Bryan Cooper's X-rated ride on No More Heroes today. Pays your money, you takes your chance though. Don't honestly think Don Poli would have won the RSA if Coneygree had stood his ground!

27 races and profit on 26 for +£3,200. If I hadn't got caught out by the Jezski drift, would have been my best Cheltenham ever.

Best Cheltenham I have had, punting highlight was On the Fringe but the highlight of the week from a racing perspective was Coneygree. Tremendous to see a performance like that from a novice, first one to the win the Gold Cup in my lifetime.

I lost 34 grand on a certain horse,that would have been my returns.

Interesting thread because if you listened to that clown Nevison you would have thought every punter had won. Not everybody can back the shorties that win and avoid the ones that don't. I won a couple of hundred but it could have been so much better having had a win bet on Djakadam and an each-way on Holywell, both at 50/1. Beaten by a horse that wasn't even a certain runner until a couple of days ago. That's racing.

My best ever festival. Having had good 3 days and a bad Friday the last two years, I got my Friday bets sorted early and had a great day, although an offer on one I fancied helped make it. Tuesday and Thursday especially were good days already but Friday even better. Had my biggest ever win on a horse on Coneygree, was very sweet on that one and Many Clouds but went biggest on Coneygree when Will Hill boosted to 11/1 earlier. Killultagh Vic was a bonus. Could have been even better had the second not been touched off in the Triumph and the 4th come 3rd. Don Cossack and L'ami Serge were big losers for me on the downside but my best ever festival by quite some way.

Yesterday I did a 50p jackpot & placepot.  One winner, 3 seconds, a 3rd & Aqalim which was 5th.

Placepot down.  50p Ew acca would have paid £346.25.

£17 up thanks to Next Sensation winning. Only other winner was Rivage D'or in running. Had 6 seconds including today Noble Endeavor which would have been a nice payday.

A great festival though. I think we have seen some fantastic performances.

Nevison, shouldn't be allowed in the ring, with a mike, in his hand next year. Didn't here a lot from Nevison but couldn't help but laughing at how strong he was on 16/1 shots and 12/1 shots that COULD NOT WIN.  Feck me we could all stick pins in and come out with shyte like that.  THen The Package came along and bit his backside

£466.99 up would have won more if I had bet level stakes and a lot more of Annie Power has stood up on Tue for the 4th leg of my Mullins/Walsh Tue L15.  My big wins were Faugheen, Don Poli, Martello Tower and Next Sensation the latter was bonus win thanks to a mate.  Big losers were Ptit Zig, Balders Success & Saphir Du Rhue.

Great festival this year I was a guest of PaddyPower in the Arkle stand on Tue and the atmosphere was electric best I have ever experienced live at a sporting event. The tension before the Annie Power race was something else and the gasp when she fell...

I didn't get too involved in the Gold Cup this year as I felt the new guard might take over but had no idea which one.  I think this years Gold Cup was probably an outstanding one and using Silviniaco Conti as yardstick (I think ran up to last years from) it sort of confirms by view that last years Gold Cup was probably one one the worst ever.

Do you paid double for winning bets at the Festival....

Mind, enjoyed nearly every minute of it.  Not only was this year a good one, but better, promised hugely for the quality of next season and beyond.

Had a very gd week of punting at Chelts (£1000 + profit )
Great news this morn to find that i just managed to land the betfair/George B comp
A fantastic week of top class racing

I backed only one winner Uxizandre at 20/1 but I still ended up about £100 down despite numerous big prices in the frame...it's all about placing them in the right multiple bets which alas never seems to happen - you need at least three of the four placed in an E/W L15 to make a proper dent and that didn't happen for me

Backing two in every race the placings on each day were:
12/1 40/1 10/1 25/1 10/1 16/1
7/1 14/1 (same race) 40/1 40/1
11/2 33/1 & 25/1 (same race) 20/1 winner 25/1 & 10/1 (same race)
8/1 14/1 33/1

They include the 4th & 5th place bonuses which were available on 16 of the 27 races and I still can't figure out just how I've managed to lose

That said, despite losing it was a thoroughly enjoyable Festival as ever but very frustrating from a betting perspective as I'm sure you'll agree from those prices in the frame...coulda woula shoulda - I should get a tattoo of that motto

Looking back at the results over the four days...of the 27 races there were only 4 head-scratchers for me that I wouldn't back NOW:

Rivage D'or - joke of a race where anything can happen...and often does
Qualando - little form to recommend it though he was 10 lengths behind Bonito Du Berlais last year
Cole Harden - only the best of its form would've given it an E/W squeak...there were far better alternatives
Darna - I hate chancing bets on horses with a history of injury at Cheltenham though the trainer fancied it

I'm sure there are plenty on here who backed those and figured they were decent bets!
It's all about opinions...one of my mates thought I was crazy for backing Somersby but I figured
the field was shíte except for the last two champions and they had questions to answer.

to find in my eyes but I'm not saying they were my best results in their races because they were not

WSB - after those results, I'd be very interested in any system which can find such rags that I didn't give a prayer to - tell us more squire as I couldn't see anything to recommend those three at all and I'm always eager to learn

One last gloat before it's all forgotten. After Annie's fall doing me up for the "obvious" fourfold (did back the treble though) I thought I would be lucky to recover but.. £10 e/w super yankee on Friday. Peace & Co, Sort It Out, No More Heroes, Djakadam, and Paint The Clouds. Ok so £520 staked but how much returned for just the one winner? £7325 and people are always moaning about Betfair multiples. Oh and finished off with £50 on Next Sensation @ 23. Showing off/bragging/aftertiming completed. Feeling satisfied now so thank you and goodbye until next year.

Just about recovery and reviewed the bank account.  Around £1300 down, but that includes all travel, spends, hotels, drink, etc.   Not my greatest Cheltenham but not my worst either.

Game of fine lines, if any of; Annie Power not falling, Monetaire had not been beat by a rag; I missed backing Killutagh Vic, would have put me either in profit or level

Very enjoyable week though and similar to what i would have spend on a weeks holiday in the sun, so no regrets

Haha Arkle that made me chuckle.Justified too I suppose although the others would most likely have been about losing acca's on football rather than winning bets on the horses. Just love Cheltenham with a passion and was so surprised at the return because of Betfair's place prices that I thought I'd post. Don't worry...that's me for another year. All the best Arkle.

Horrendous, worst Cheltenham ever by far, £2.5k down, after having a count up. If I could go on holiday and get away from it I would, but I have to work weekends either side.
