These guys were pros when times were a lot different.
Same with poker where I feel has a lot of similarities that translates well to horse racing betting. was reading last night that Phil Ivey now has a losing account and considered a fish by a lot of the kids he was beating back in the day. now whenever he logs on online the tables fill up and the waiting list to play him is long. Same with these old pros like Nevison. Times have changed. if you want to make it you need to be much more mathematical, strategic and analytical. You need to adapt or get out and do something else...like appearing on RUK and trying to school kids who probably know far more than him on betting strategy. |

Nevison never got his money from betting. He got from newspaper columns, tipping lines, working for bookies, TV and media work etc, etc.
