It was a just result because bravery was rewarded. Connections of Glen's Melody were going to retire her but decided to have another go at the race after finishing 2nd in it last year. Annie Power was 2nd in the World Hurdle last year but her connections decided not to have another go at that and took what they thought was the easier option today. The race today was 4pm but the World Hurdle is 3:20pm Thursday. So the sun wouldn't be in the same place Thursday and Annie Power would have won that race.

feal truly gutted for everybody on the four timer !!! that would of cost the bookies a fortune if the power had won .

take it you werent on the Mullins horses today?

Whether she jumped the shadow of the hurdle or the hurdle itself she didn't get high enough.
She hit the top and couldn't get her legs down in time. |
|
By:
I wasn't, bollocky, but I take no pleasure from seeing any horse fall, let alone one which had the race all but won. I was taking the piss out of Rollo's post.

Mikael,
Are you a bit on the thicko side? I didn't say I took any "pleasure" fron seeing a horse fall. My point is that Mullins and connections had the Mares and World Hurdle winners in their stable. However they ran them in the same race and left the World Hurdle on the table for someone else to pick up. |
|
By:
You basically said they got what they deserve. Are you a bit thicko?

Bon Soir RT, we do get some odd people on here, trust you are well and will be in touch soon. Sipping some brutishly dry ozzie grog in our flat near the course and thinking I did the mad 4 and forgot to do lay orf on Threadbare! Keep well and safe from La Grange Etable 2.

What was the general price in the bookies for the 4 timer 16-1?

NWK,
I rarely post on here now because every time I do I seem to a lift a stone and something crawls out, like today. I hope you are doing well and enjoy your trip over. Give regards to P. Taquin Du Seil for the Ryanair? I have it with Glen's Melody and had both with Rock on Ruby (NRNB, I thought the only danger was Annie Power, not a bad scope!) |
|
By:
Yep TDS has that look. They know how to win and what is achievable. Done little right so far this season, not travelled or jumped but like you think its all about this week and sure to run well.

Good evening and I hope you are doing well. I trust the new servants, who you pay for out of the profits you take from the plebs on here, are doing your ironing up to the usual standard. |
